  1. Very fair point, i think about 7 of Skolars starting line up from Saturdays challenge cup game have come up from Skolars junior teams & there are more Skolars junior graduates in the squad.
  2. Completely disagree... playing long established northern teams like Hunslet, Swinton, Keighley, Oldham, Doncaster, Crusaders and Rochdale etc... is the best way to really test yourself & learn. Skolars younger players have learned a lot & improved by playing against the better teams even if it resulted in a loss.
  3. From the Warriors/Hammersmith games i have watched over the last few years good proportion = vast majority.
  4. In their defence, Skolars have made progress - they may have finished near the bottom in the last few years and only won a handful of their games, but the games were competitive and the results were often pretty close. The opposition knew the games were not walkovers and the games were entertaining. Skolars run a number of junior teams of which players have progressed to Broncos academy & reserves & 1st team. Skolars run coaching sessions in local primary schools & organise successful primary festivals. I do however think they are really going to struggle this year on the pitch. They have re-signed some of last seasons squad who are definitely league 1 level and have a couple of young prospects that could potentially play at a higher level, but Broncos going part time has resulted in 6/7 players departing and it looks like they are struggling to recruit suitable replacements. The board/volunteers/sponsors have put in a huge effort and done a great job over the years just to keep the team viable - whether they can maintain this with the 80% cut to central funding & no travel grant remains to be seen. I believe league 1 is better for having Skolars in it.
  5. i wasn’t complaining about HANetf - great prestigious company (& were on kit last year). It was just noticeable after a long time association that Nasdaq are no longer on the kit anywhere.
  6. Very smart kit & some impressive sponsors. (I may be reading too much into this , but a bit worrying to see Nasdaq missing as they have been long time sponsors & Skolars need all the financial help they can get with the huge cut in funding.)
  7. Well it does when Salford decided to default on the £1.5 million pound loan from the council - taxpayers money that could/should have been used to help the most disadvantaged in the Salford community
  8. Considering how little/non existent the Metros RL coverage of rugby league is in London.... look what made the back page of today’s Metro!
