  1. Jesus H Arkwright ..... a weekend in Scotland and it all merges into a blur.....
  2. Sweet jane.... One of my fav tracks. .. The live version in rock n roll animal with steve hunter on guitar is awesome. Apostrophe is tonight's listening. My wife has the biggest collection of zappa albums I know..... I didn't really know any zappa til I met her in 77 ....geezer!
  3. I'm that full of cold, benalyn and Fettercairn is indistinguishable....
  4. Sunburst finish on vinyl.... Oh yes indeed..... Blazing apostles......
  5. My birthday tomorrow. The boy has given me a bottle of glenfiddich. Not in my top 20..... but still happy to be given it. He also got me a vinyl copy of sunburst finish as mine got damaged.... Tomorrow could turn out to be a good day.
  6. Try one. I'd got the blonks on cos the memsahib wouldn't let me open the kiwi. She brought the Highland black 8yo in from aldi... It is prob best in class....
  7. As the memsahib said I couldn't access my kiwi whisky she happened across aldi on the way home this aft and brought home their 8yo blend after reading the reviews . Bum end of the market my ar se. This stuff is more than acceptable as a dram. Nowt special but it's not crapola either
  8. I'm itching to get the kiwi out of the sideboard in the cupboard with restricted withdrawals limited to Christmas As the rugby is on this aft.....
  9. Jesus H Arkwright..... not only do I have to declare a fully funded case I have to provide evidence at every level to justify every penny spent on filly funded chc cases..... Take my word for it???? My fat botty....
  10. Penderyn exhibited at Manchester festival ten days ago. It isn't my fav dram by any means but it appeared very well received at Manchester.
  11. Redbreast isn't too bad and some of bushmiĺs premium efforts are well worth it but I generally prefer 'e'less whiskies. The new Zealand double wood is a fabulous new world effort though a little expensive. but if you fancy the celtic connection Amorik from Brittany is wonderful. ... good value too.
  12. It's been a heavy day and I'm tired. .... Clynelish..... got decent black pud n'all.... sorted
  13. Can't say I can't stand her.... but she doesn't sit wi me bacon sandwich like Lou Minchin does......
  14. Tried lots of new ones at the festival yesterday. Ka va lan, Amrut and lakeland were all new to new. Teeling did their whiskey proud and glengarrioch had lots of interest. But the star was the Jura 30..... but at 350 quid a go.... it's beyond my pocket.
  15. Please try asyla futtocks.... A wonderful addition to their portfolio. Whisky festival in Manchester tomorrow. Really looking forward to it. They really have hit the target with this blend. One of the very best in its class. I like my single malt but I'm not snobby about a crafted blend.
