Worked in Shrewsbury for about a year. Even the locals in the office disagreed about how it was pronounced. -

There's more chance of him pronouncing Sturmey Archer correctly though. -

"Rugby League is a very simple game, isn't it Kyle?" I really wish our commentators did not say stuff like this. -

For once, I'm not sure it's down to RU. -

Absolutely true. Lots of fervent RU supporters when it's Wales v England. Absolutely no clue what's going on though. Otherwise, Liverpool. And only Liverpool. That's my experience. What I get in the neck is: do you think you are a "better" supporter because you support a rubbish Rugby League team rather than a successful football team? Yes, yes I do. Because "supporting" involves a bit more than picking a successful team and watching them on TV. -

There are more Liverpool "fans" in Wales too. More than than in Liverpool, that's for sure. I argue with my Welsh in-laws about it every time I see them. (And I've been told to stop doing this, repeatedly, by my partner.) -

Union will interfere anywhere, given the slightest opportunity, even where you'd least expect it. Sol Mokdad could tell you all about it. -
How to rebuild Scottish RL?
Stuff Smith replied to welshmagpie's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
How hard have we been trying? You may think there may be easier wins elsewhere, but development over here tends to rely on a couple of Rugby League enthusiasts moving to an area and trying to start a team (Basingstoke Beasts, anyone?). But a coherent strategy for development? No evidence of this so far. -

Union isn't the king of anything in Scotland. Thousands of people enjoy singing "Flower of Scotland" at Murrayfield, people who wouldn't dream of attending any union game that didn't involve the national team. That's about it. That's the truth. -

No we shouldn't. But we should ban Jonathan Davies from the commentary box. -

Which is true. It's not the way the media reports it though, is it? -

This is all true. But if you were the BBC, wouldn't you have put this on BBC3 (or the red button) and PNG v Tonga on BBC2? -
https://www.mccmktg.co.uk/services Scroll down to Creative Support. They're "Branding Veterans". And no, they don't mean attacking old people with a hot piece of iron... "MCCM are branding veterans. Our team have generated creative solutions through graphic, illustration and visual content support for hundreds of partners. Each project needs a different approach, that is why we practice flexibility; hours and budget, to get the best result."

Professionalism. If you've got five minutes, read through the linked file posted by Andrew Foster. Did anyone proofread this? I'm deliberately avoiding being the grammar police here because I live in a glass house (that's a metaphor, obviously). But Centurian? Centurions is (was) the name of your club.
