I can hardly see a negative comment. It is overwhelmingly positive stuff praising the game and Saints.
I do hope I'm not becoming a 'Busy Body' but I've been in 'communication' with the BBC moderaters after my comment was removed for being 'considered to be off-topic for the discussion'.
That is you can repeatedly have many comments removed from the Warrington v Leeds HYS but to comment on that is off-topic. Fair enough I suppose.
So Yes the WCC HYS was clear when I checked but that wasn't the case earlier with the usual suspects enjoying themselves.
Has an RL HYS been tidied up retrospectively?
I sense a season full of Busy Bodyness hoving into vue!

I finally banned the Grauniad from my life after that article they did after David Cameron's young son died...."privileged grief" or something?....it was abhorrent
You'll have a real shock if you ever come across the 'UK Free Press'.

Aren’t Fev going for the flat cap world record attempt in one of their home games too?
I’m not joking either, I’m sure I read that on here and thought it was a brilliant idea of owning the stereotype and selling merch plus a bit of fun too and getting headlines.
More of this!
I have two Flat Caps atm. Would wearing more than one count as illegal Cap Enhancing? Breaching the Cap Count? Fancy it anyway.

And would you have watched that game if it wasn’t on TV?
Not so much those days but more likely nowadays. Depending on whether young nephew/brother in law are up for it.
Tbh I have always tended to support our game by purchasing beer in the relavent pubs.

Anyway, when I was working I liked the Monday night match. Cheered up my Monday malaise really well and even now it would work for me while clearing a busy weekend slot.

I recall an offside ruling so obscure that it is hardly comprehensible. This was the first season of NU I think.

Of course I'm not saying he was any good but he was clearly the Ref to be hated least.
I actually missed him when he went!
Wierd or Wot?!?
One of the better ones imo and Good Luck to him.

Thank you for reminding me of possibly my most painful RL memory!!
It was actually 10-10 before the last try and I can't remember how the ashes would have been decided if the series had ended up 1-1 plus the draw. That really should have been the case as Meninga's change of line to remove Carl Gibson from the equation immediately prior to the try should have been penalised.
I don't hold a grudge*, I'm just saying.
*Alert: Big fat lie!
I'm the same. I haven't mentioned this incident for...... ooh.......several hours now.

Wearing my Aus citizenship hat I want them to win but would not be too disappointed if Samoa managed a win.
Today's venue brings back a couple of lovely memories with the first going back to 1952 when as a 13 year old I was taken to a soccer 2nd round FA cup match when Man U played my team Hull City. In a major shock City won 2-0 and it remains the only occasion that Hull City has ever had an away victory against Man U.
The second time involved the second Ashes RL match in 1990 when like scores of thousands of GB supporters with only a couple of minutes to go and Aus near their own line an Ashes 2-0 lead looked certain until Ricky Stuart broke free and after a long run gave it to Meninga who went over for the winning try. Aus won the 3rd game and the Ashes drought continued.
To those going to the match have a great day and I hope a special match ensues.
I was there and as Scofield? hoofed it downfield I actually said something along the lines of 'Well, that's that!'. Still think Meninga obstructed........

When all this world cup is done and dusted the post mortem about the poor state of British Rugby League will go on and on.
Having watched the many games this year what sticks out to me is the far superior way the Aussie refs control the games. Even that female ref did a better job than Kendal, If we want to improve the game in my opinion officials need to control the game in the same way as in Austrailia. Instead we have a bunch of pedantic posers who think the game is all about them, constantly blowing for technical infringements in an often random fashion just to remind everyone they are out there.
This. The game is a much better spectacle when the ref intervenes less rather than more, and happens more often with Aussie Refs imo.

Her ball carrying arm touched the ground while being held by a png player. So she can slide over , however she lifted her arm and promoted the ball over the line. Double movement
For some reason I had it in my head that this was allowed. I kept on been outraged that these incidents were ruled as double movements.
I'm going to shut up for a while....

Could shake the Aussies out of their international hibernation and apathy.
This. I'm not being Anti- Australia when saying I'd like them out at the semi final so much as Pro-RL. A non Aus final would be a breath of fresh air for the game. Many cages would be rattled, within the game and in the media. I see no negatives with this., Aussie egos aside.

Watching these women play great rugby, just proves what an awful mess those in charge of Castleford made by not looking after our former players. Sickens me to be fair and yes i have told those at the club.
Just thinking the same thing. Was a fab 80mins watching them. What a shame.

I get that the French are fast and skillful but how can anyone be so elusive and agile. And there is a team full of them. I'm sat watching it and I can't believe it. Impressed.

I just love how the commentators use the exact same language and terminology as a running game of RL. Just shows how similar the two formats are.
Struggling to watch in pub with fading battery and dodgy WiFi.
My thoughts: that's Rugby League. The mechanics are the same.

Well look mate, I don`t think the Aussie ref`s are anything special and too often just want to show us how sharp-eyed they are (or too often bloody aren`t), at least down here, but whatever you`re feeding them give them more.
BTW was that you I saw jumping up and down in that Greek Taverna ( God knows how that word just popped into my head ) on that video celebrating their first try.
I'm remembering the last WC here, I shudder to think of the changes of interpretation since then in SL alone.
No, it wasn't me but that Retsina in the local supermarket is looking like a good idea. Yammas!

Yeah I don`t know what`s going on over there but some of the Aussie ref`s are unrecognisable. Lachlan Lam`s try last night came from what was a blatant forward pass, but not a word, and no-one cares.
I suspect there`s some sort of agreement in the ref`s ranks to help make this a great tournament, at least on the field. I even get the feeling watching the games that the under dogs are getting the rub of the green with some calls as well. And the whole point is no-one cares, we are just seeing good open entertaining League and that`s what everyone wants.
It does make such a difference- to me at least. I remember preferring the SH Refs rather than SL Refs in the last WC, simply due to being entertained by the game rather than irritated by halting choredom. (OK, 'choredom' isn't a word I suspect but...er....)

First Cas match as a non season ticket holder for some while now. Shocked and saddened to find that I now qualify for old fogey concession. Could be mightily grumpy in the Junction come mid afternoon!
