  1. Can't go as badly as Jamie Peacock, Hull KR Football Manager, can it?
  2. Just to show how things have changed, Radio Manchester sticking the non-televised Challenge Cup tie as an online commentary, while the women's football on BBC 1 is on actual radio.
  3. What's happened to coverage of RL in the Guardian? Plenty of NRL stories, but nothing from here since Leeds vs. Warrington.
  4. I can't work out how BBC Humberside and Merseyside go to Catalans games for commentary, but Leeds don't seem to.
  5. There was a great, really long piece, by George Clark in Forty20 a few years ago which went into detail about the many issues with Odsal/Bradford. Easier to write "Bulls Are Back" stories when they win a game.
  6. All while using language like "iconic" as if were supposed to pretend what Odsal is now, and not what it was in 1954 (before the first(?) financial failure of Bradford Northern.) It's very much recency bias based on memories of what Bullmania was, and not actual reality. I feel sorry for the fans.
  7. Why they can't just say is beyond me, causing speculation when they don't need to.
  8. What's he done? Must be bad with Haven's recent record!
  9. Plenty of time before the paper is out on Monday to find stuff out.
  10. Depends on who you believe are "professional" and whether that makes a difference. Also lack of "fitness" does not always equal "fatness."
  11. It still remains a scandal that this deal appears to have been brushed under a carpet somewhere. We need a campaigning journalist to dig deep on it. All that money that could have been used for good, wasted on a landfill site.
  12. That's the same issue you get with many events at arenas, theatres etc.
  13. The Sportsman gave that more respect than the BBC did for Leeds/Saints. Felt like a big occasion. That pitch with only the RL markings on looks great as well.
  14. We're really going to see which clubs really value, and see value, in having a competitive women's side, and those who don't.
  15. If I was the tweeter, I'd be going to HR, or worse. For someone who frequently mentions his mental health, he could do with being more tolerant. Does he tweet after every mistake made by his playing and coaching staff? Easy to pick on someone else.
  16. Interesting that Huddersfield suspend him, but Bradford sign him on loan. Odd, in a sense.
  17. In the negative I assume? This paper seemed more upset about the renaming of an award than this case.
