Hansen head contact on Myles Harrison
Akouala leading with the elbow, knocked Ronan Michael sparko
I've re-watched it. H was really reckless, hit the guy when he was already on the deck
Sita... I'm not so sure. It wasn't his elbow. Just a big hit on the poor lad.
Doesn't matter what we think anyway.. disciplinary committee are the ones that decide what happens.

It was the kind of thing you might expect from a hot-headed youngster, overexcited on his debut. Hansen knows better.
Any idea what we he did? I paid 4.95 of your English pounds to watch the match and I still can't see what he did. Same for Sitaleki , I am sure both red cards were merited but it was all a blurr on the t'interweb

Ryan Rivett anyone know anything about him? He's only 21 and will be at TO for 2 years.

Do they still have that bar in the corner, with a terrace with tables with views of the pitch? All grounds should have one of those!
Yes, it's still there. It needs to be a tad warmer before I even think about sitting over there for a beer.
Not much of a crowd to be honest. The band were excellent. No dancing girls.

Yes, although to be fair greater than most in the Championship clubs would manage. There's huge potential in Toulouse, and great corporate dollar, I just think whatever they're doing to create crowds at the moment isn't working. Not convinced by the move to the Union stadium to be honest, hard to create an atmosphere there. Much better experience at the smaller ground in Blagnac, but guess they can't do the corporate stuff there.
I'm back at Blagnac today, for Blagnac v Tarbes. It is a much better venue for smaller crowds.

Recruitment for next season has been underwhelming to say the least
Yes, quite.
Smallest squad I think in the league for the 2024 season.
I'm all for adding new French blood but he has yet to entice the best. Mathieu Laguerre at the very least would be a start.
Like I said he talks the talk but that's all it is at the moment.
-
He's spent a lot of time getting assurances from everyone else to spend their money but until he starts dipping into his own trousers I will remain indifferent. To be a SL club you need a SL mentality, not just within the team on the pitch but off it also. I don't see that yet.

Yes, you're right. Sorry...I should wear glasses more often, and drink less red wine!
I won't be posting much this season as i won't be going to many Toulouse games.

Close...I got the date right for the 1st match. Seems Fev have the privilege of Wakefield.

Shame that his new augmented budget didn't extend to rewarding the staff for this season.
The team is unchanged. Where other teams have squads up to 30 and have been recruiting heavily, TO will stay pretty much unchanged for this season. I can't see more Elites other than Wail joining the first team so they will be stretched again to keep everyone fit. They've managed it for the last couple of years but players are getting older and need more careful management.
Still, they will probably manage top 5 again... maybe.

Not Kenya...however, the French International, Laureane Biville, has a tournament named after her in Cameroon to help promote the women's game in Africa.

Harrison Hansen going nowhere - signed on for another year at Toulouse Olympique XIII.
Most of the squad from last year are staying. H, god knows how, is still going but will need to be managed carefully.
First new signing of the season, Paul Ulberg.

Still promotion and relegation for next year so they have a chance of staying up

I’m not too educated on Elite 1 so some off it may be a bit off but I’ve tried to be as accurate as possible. A lot of depth in the Front Row for France, but I would say there outside backs and back row need some work.
That's some tiptop work there, great work.
I would put Robin Brochon at FB to be honest.
Gigot won't be around much longer.
A proper résumé would be to do a full review on anyone less than 25, as that is where the future lies

It stands for Nouvelle-Aquitaine Television Jim. I assume it’s a local tv channel in the Aquitaine region.
Based in Bordeaux but has a vision to broadcast more XIII rugby. I'm hoping the new president of TO has the foresight to talk with them about a PPV deal a bit like OurLeague in the UK

Of course they're professional.
The amount is anyone's guess but it'll be a fair wedge.
Toulouse was the only professional side in the championship last year as I was reminded many times

Confirmed by the club they have been unable to pay their players which they have stated was inevitable following the end of their season .
Not having the cash to pay players is the start of a very slippery slope. Very worrying times down at PO Road
They aren't a professional side though so how much are we really talking about? Not that I'm dissing the club, any money owed is important to the employees

A few coming onto the market from Fev (some already announced at other clubs, or confirmed retirement).
17…18 with Killer, that's almost the same number that TO started the season with! Who are they being replaced with?

I don't know if you will be able to get this in the UK but natv.fr are showing the match on Sunday. I am unsure yet if the will be streaming it online or it is just via the TV channel route

I thought it was odd for this time of year as well, but I was applying my knowledge of Lake District sheep. However they do things differently in the Tarn.

Do you think Mr Houles will now stand down? If so is there a French coach ready to takeover?
Will Toulouse go back as a separate entity to their reserve side in Elite1?
If so,the English Championship may take one League 1 club leaving even less for the 3rd tier.
Not many yoof watching - at stadium in France,or in Wimbledon.
I'm hoping Sylvain does stay on. He's busy with lambing at the moment so I guess a few days to clear his head and think of the positives. I believe he will still be there and with a new president I'm hoping they stick to the plan for next year.
It wasn't going to be a catastrophe if they didn't make it this year, although on a personal note it was a massive disappointment. I feel that this isn't the end of the road. Maybe at the end of next season if they still can't get to SL there will be change.
Plenty of kids there yesterday.

Or rather, nothing that warrantied a ban. Slightly odd decision but one mustn't grumble.
