  1. The New Zealand rugby World Cup squad chose to train there too I’m sure they would have looked at the facilities to see if they’re up to standard which they are it’s just unfortunate with injuries.
  2. If a player has a good job, career and is asked to give it up to go full time maybe for one season is a joke, it’s not as though the players are on footballers wages they have to think of their future.
  3. Fordy did wonders at York although the rugby played was a bit dour he did get results and over performed in his first season in the championship. He has a much better squad at his disposal at Fev now and I’m sure he will get the best out of them if it’s entertaining rugby is another matter but from Featherstone point of view getting to super league is the objective and his teams did have a tendency to win the close games so could bode well in the playoffs.
  4. I agree the two loanees will be keen to impress especially Toby who will want to show how much he has improved. Also who is actually available to compliment the squad on the market? We needed a hooker as cover now Josh is injured so will give us more depth there I think it’s a positive move.
  5. If we win Saturday and other results go our way we could be 1 point off the playoffs so all still to play for. Toulouse have struggled in the road this season and we have a bit of confidence playing a settled team hopefully we have a big game and get the result.
  6. Bit sad he’s been banned from other forums after all it is a public forum people do disagree.
  7. I don’t like to call the referees it’s a hard job I do however feel they should get more support from their touch judges which does seem very rare. We watch the replays over and over again and complain he didn’t see something but watching Baileys disallowed try several times and I still dont know if Dee knocked it on or not so it shows how hard it is. There is always going to be human error and contentious decisions this happens in ever sport it’s just how it is speak to every fan of every club and there is always that one referee. I went to a NRL game last year and tries were awarded on field but are only confirmed when the bunker has reviewed them, the game I watched had 3 tries disallowed after been given by the referee and my Aussie mate said he found it strange how someone could influence the game so much who was probably hundreds of miles away in a studio and it slowed the game down waiting for decisions and they didn’t always get it right too. I wouldn’t want that here also if they got everything right we would have nothing to moan about.
  8. Well done you deserved the win and what fantastic support you brought. All the best for the final.
  9. If Batley get to the grand final and win it they’re ready for super league surely it’s what you do on the pitch that counts or well it should be. Well done today Batley from a p****d off York fan.
  10. Batley deserved their win today their first half performance won them the game very organised and all knew what they were doing. They were maybe a bit lucky with the second try but ultimately we did well to be only 14-0 down at half time. There third try was just poor tackling from us if we could have held them out then things may have been different. We miss Josh at hooker he has the pace to keep the defence guessing and this opens gaps for us. Batley are now one of the big hitters in this league now they have a settled squad big game experience too and getting beat by them is no shame but just feel we let ourselves down today. Bad weekend for the club two semi final defeats next week will be tough just want a strong end to the season now and secure our safety as soon as possible and start planning for next year and hopefully win the big games.
  11. I bought my ticket and it’s sent via email where you can either print it off or simply scan the qr code on your phone at the turnstile
  12. What I was meaning Harry and apologies is that everyone is talking about promotion and I agree Fev look good for promotion but there is a battle going on to stay up probably 4-5 teams fighting to stay up and to the supporters of these teams this is what matters. This includes my team York we are still in danger even after winning our last 3 games, ironically our form turned from playing you in the cup . That aside it’s been a fantastic championship this year really enjoyed it.
  13. I was talking about the championship the thread is about the championship I was meaning the clubs facing relegation to league one whoever goes down I hope they can survive as a club as it would be tragic to lose any club.
  14. What about relegation does that not matter as relegation could be the death sentence for the clubs going down?
  15. Gritty win today we looked a bit flat in the first half but great chase by AJ but a even better effort from santi to defend the wing in the same move. When Ata came on we looked more dangerous in attack and Sheffield stood off him not knowing what he was going to do and this opened up more space. For Sheffield there loose forward was a handful again Gwaze he looks a good player. Gives us a bit of breathing space down at the bottom now plus more confidence going into next weeks semi and hopefully no injuries from today.
  16. I don’t think he was in our plans anyway and will free some money up I heard he was on good money at York and his second season was only due to a clause in his contract if we qualified for the playoffs he got a second year. If this is true I don’t know. Hopefully with Ellis going we can bring more bodies in but only the right players.
  17. It’s hard been a rugby league fan keighley looked a quality side when they beat us at Easter one of the best sides I have seen at the LNER this season threats all over the pitch but today they looked so poor and pretty devoid of ideas. It’s the genuine fans who turn up week after week win lose or draw that suffer I hope you stay up and can regroup but it’s going to be hard this division is unforgiving no easy games and even we are not safe.
  18. Good team performance today to be fair we never looked like losing today. As I said before we look more structured with Harris in and it showed today we put a professional performance in with out really hitting top gear. I thought Jessie Dee was very strong in the first half and Oli field gets better every week and Josh Daley was quality once again. Myles kicking was fantastic and had a solid game once again. These 2 results will give us confidence and players coming back we are looking good again for the back end of the season. Regarding Keighley they look a team so low on confidence and will struggle to stay up which is remarkable considering the way they beat us at home I thought they were one of the best teams to visit us this season.
  19. Maybe if he has signed for them next season hendo thought he will let him go now and get a good look at Pratt or Harrison in the centre. Clint said in the interview they were talking to Wakefield about Oli how they get on is another matter.. I suppose we have to trust Hendos judgment personally I think glover is a loss but then again I thought playing Clarkson in the centres was strange on Sunday so what do I know.
  20. Fantastic result everyone put 100% great defence to keep fax tryless in the second half. What a try by AJ but for me Josh Daley was outstanding taking us forward from dummy half all match and good to see Bailey back. I think we are more settled with Harris in the side as good as Hingaro is we are more structured with Harris. This result has been coming for a while and hopefully build confidence going into the rest of the season. Next week is a massive game at keighley a win there and we ease the pressure but pile the pressure on them perform like we did today and we will be fin.
  21. Jubby was sat in the stand he had strapping round his knee this may be the reason but just guessing.
  22. Essentially Teanby did get sent off as there was only 7 mins to go so for the ref a red or a yellow did not matter so he took the easy option where as Hardaker came back because the ref bottled it
  23. Think he would be better appealing for his money back for his hair transplant than the ban he got Sunday.
  24. I have always found Leigh supporters to be proper rugby fans never understood the hate against them or the club they get in the main forums.
  25. Really enjoyed yesterday I did fear we would get a hiding but so glad to be proved wrong and a fantastic effort from 1-17 they gave everything and should be proud. Good to see the stadium buzzing there was a real atmosphere yesterday and at half time a thought we were going to win and I felt deflated we didn’t but if anyone told me we would be leading with 25 mins to go I would have laughed at them. The tackles that led to the cards yesterday in my opinion both should have been red, the first I don’t believe the player intended this momentum took over it did look horrendous and deserved a red card but I don’t think it was malicious and you could see the player apologise straight away knowing he got it wrong and fair play to Josh for getting up straight away. The Hardaker tackle for me was a straight red he lifted and drove AJ he intended this and AJ was lucky he didn’t get injured in my eyes it was pure thuggery not what we want in the game. Fantastic turn out from Leigh supporters who got behind there team and wish them well for the rest of the season. Hope we can translate this into the league now I think we have a very good team but injuries have killed us a win is just around the corner and then confidence will grow and players back from injuries will help but who would you drop after yesterday.
