Fair comment, but losing his livelihood is a big call. As an RL player who still has something to offer on the field, if Leigh give him the heav ho, probably another club would take him on.

It was dour Harry and littered with unforced errors. KR did enough and won the game against a Hull side that looked like an undisciplined rabble.

Ok, but you must know some clubs may never reach grade A for whatever reasons, so I was asking how you would feel if you were an owner or supporter of such a club. Or, as you are well versed in all things IMG, do you think the A grade is achievable by all member clubs?

It's a question to yourself and other supporters of all things IMG to see what your opinion is that's all.

Supporters of the chosen few clubs will find it a lot easier to be positive about all this than those of clubs who worry about being cast away for ever and feel as though their clubs will never reach the promised land. Also the feeling of mistrust is ingrained after other efforts by the elite to get themselves a closed shop failed. I would imagine everyone who supports the game wants it to fair better, that goes without saying, and before anyone says "well it is up to these clubs to reach the standards required," would you be prepared to invest loads of money in a club that may still not be able to get to the A grade because their location makes it nigh on impossible due to the set criteria?

Controversial is an understatement.

The issue with these kind of brands is they are quite niche and drinkers don't have the loyalty to them that they do main stream brands. They tend to try other brands especially new ones, so the throughput of such as Veltins drops off and the licencee then tries something else instead. Similar to what happens with a lot of cask ales.

It's getting it that will be the problem. SL Clubs have their deals mainly with the National Brewers, some do sell ABK, but it is doubtful that they would install it before their own core brands.

Is Stanley Unwin available? Seriously, good luck to them for the coming season.

I have just done 50 years working in the brewery trade on the sales side, and ABK are struggling for draught distribution in the UK. Good beer though.
