  1. I’ve just looked on companies house and nothing has changed apart from the name which was done in March this year. Would like to know what your talking about or better still where you got that information from
  2. Therefore the money would not go to the district leagues and would not be passed down to the clubs
  3. The District are the ones who own Barla. Because Barla is made up of all the district leagues
  4. I believe that the trustees are directors like everyone else on the board. That’s what it says on companies house.
  5. No they shouldn’t, your 100% correct however they know not many amateurs are going to turn it down. That’s what they are hoping
  6. Totally agree. There’s no way the pro clubs will want to cover the insurance for the amateurs. That being said it only takes one player to get injured and it will all go up in flames
  7. I understand that part but what happens if the player is injured playing for the professional club?
  8. So with the RFL bringing in that the pro clubs can take amateur players without a contract. What happens if the player gets injured playing for the pro club? What player wouldn’t want to play but what happens to their amateur status afterwards?
  9. Really is a sad state of affairs when you see what Barla once was & what it is today.
  10. Wow, WTH, that’s a very simple solution because your opposition said they would play at a later date so what was the problem? No wonder the Pennine are losing teams left right & centre. Stubbornness can be a dangerous thing & they have only themselves to blame for such a diabolical decision. But surely other teams must be having the same problem as you. If they treat them the way they have treated you them they will lose even more teams to the YML. Ignorance can be a decision that can not be reversed if you refuse to listen to people.
  11. Well surely there must have been people on Barla board that was not on the Pennine board. It sounds both being the same only secures those in situ. No wonder nobody wants to join Barla.
  12. 100% agree. But clearly there are less district leagues & therefore less clubs
  13. Maybe so but I’m sure Pennine comes Under Barla as a playing league.
  14. Yes I see your point there. Yes spending money on things that will benefit all clubs regardless of leagues
  15. Is it true that the same people on the Barla board are the same people on the Pennine board? Now that seems very strange if true.
  16. Yes but that money doesn’t belong to Barla. The money belongs to the district leagues which in turn belongs to the clubs. It’s well & good sitting on over £900k but when none of it is going to help any club what’s the point? Seems like Barla have forgotten why they was formed in the 1st place
  17. Well after reading the Rugby Leaguer & Phil Hodgson’s piece in particular it would seem that the resignations Of the 2 Barla board members would be something to do with being out voted by the old guard. People will think what’s the point. Clearly the old guard need to step down, move aside & enjoy their twilight years instead of holding the amateur game to ransom.
  18. The only organisation expanding is the RFL. Barla are getting smaller & the winter playing league is diminishing(Pennine) Maybe that’s why Barla won’t hold them monthly meetings because they don’t want the leagues to know what’s going on & also don’t want to be held accountable. They don’t want people to have a voice, they are clearly taking voices away.
  19. Yes I have heard & read about Morton’s past. I agree, whats in the past is in the past & he did his time. Let’s not forget that Tony Adams has been to prison & he's at the RFL. You should be judged on rugby & what he’s done at Yorkshire. Plus after reading other views he was once an Allie of Taylors. I was also reading what the RFL has done with the votes that were for Morton. How can they do that if they are 2 separate organisations. Can BARLA vote at the RFL AGM?
  20. Seems to me that there’s a lot of politics in this Barla & there will only ever be one loser.
  21. Marauder, you go into history that I don’t know about or should I say I wasn’t paying attention to. As for Yorkshire I’ve only heard good things about Morton & Co that’s why I started paying attention when I heard Morton was going for chair of barla
