I blame Sale Sharks they are like vultures. Look at what they did to Stockport County 20 years ago.
I’m probably out of the loop here, but how is this situation Sale’s fault?

When Lebanon were allowed entry into the 2000 WC it was on the proviso that a domestic league was set up on the back of their participation.
I recall that the domestic competition was struggling to get going again post COVID - what is the situation now?

Edit: tried again this morning and has been fixed

Has anyone tried to go through and estimate how many points each club would get? I know these would be pure guesstimates, but interested in who the winners/losers are, and whether this is going to change anything at all in the short term

Any full fixtures for the league? League structure? Play offs?
It isn’t a league, just a set of fixtures.

Are the Wolfpack actually professional in any way now?

Would be interested to hear what others think about whether twitter posts like this should be in Dutch? To me having them all in English screams ‘niche sport for foreigners’. It would be good to see Dutch and English if space allowed

The only one you ever see reported anywhere is the Tirana Rugby Club which as far as I’m aware is dual code.
Yes, they definitely played a union match a few weeks ago

Last October I did Bulgaria v Malta in Sofia, now I'm thinking NL v Shqipëria in October. Amsterdam Albania .
Was in Tirana a couple of months ago - a great place with a fascinating (but sad) history. And super cheap!

Interested in how the Albania side will turn out - is there still just the one club?
-
They need to forget about selling tickets and handing out coozies… get some games played and a bit of stability first

Have any of you been to greekrl.com? There's no information. Googling sends me back there and yet I am the troll or moron for relying on the local association for information. I'm clearly a moron for assuming any of these people can update a website! And somehow, this proves me wrong! 8 teams in Greece playing games, yet this is the backbone of a vibrant and growing international scene.
And still, I ask, what do any of you people do other than be precious on a web forum?
Took me 10 seconds to find information on the East and West Grand Finals from March…

That's a great couple of sponsors and nice vision. Hopefully the game gets traction in Albania and we see them prosper in the coming years.
Tirana RC are interesting- they don’t appear to care which code they play. They had a match against a Union side last weekend.

I checked out of this topic at about page 35 - has anything significant happened or are we still having the same circular arguments?

Anyone know anything about World13?
The website is… limited at best
And their Facebook page hasn’t been updated since 2021

Admirable sponsoring RL in the way that they do, just a slightly funny way to go about it

They may not make sense because they were a bit messy. I think some (most?) of the West division teams pulled out leaving AGs as the only team from that side. So some East teams got byes. Then there were postponements and ground reversals such that Brentwood played Chargers at home when they were lower ranked.
EDIT: Just looked the results up, only result missing is the grand final, won by Wests.
Why did most of the West teams pull out?

Is there a timeline for when we will find out the final gradings?

Some young local band will love the chance to play in front of a few thousand people, it would offer them exposure that they’d never otherwise get - how about they pay Salford for facilitating that?

"not another one!" was also my initial reaction.
But, this one does involve some of the most serious RL clubs in America, so I would say this is one has a good chance of success (success = actually playing the fixtures that they say they will, unlike that NARL myth).
PS: I agree with those saying that there is not yet enough evidence to call it a 'breakaway'. Could be just a few clubs being proactive and taking their own initiative. Hopefully they can work with the national governing body and get players vying for spots in the national team!
On your PS - RLU have two posts on Instagram, one of which is a video with a song in the background and lyrics on the screen reading - ‘break away from everybody, break away from everything’… I think it’s fair that RLU see themselves as a breakaway!

Looks like this is the Championship Rugby League guys again… appears they will do anything for a bit of publicity, e.g. recently claiming they had taken over the running of the game in the US, which was quickly refuted by IRL

Most interesting comment was they said Broncos will no longer be no 1 in london and Superleague is the only target.
I’m struggling to understand what this means, but maybe I’m just being thick…
Broncos will no longer be number 1 in London implies someone else will be number 1?

For context, an MLR franchise would cost you around USD10m, and look how they are struggling. This proposal is naive at best.
