Well I can only presume we'd be probably be a self sustained club similar to the likes of Rochdale, Dewsbury, Batley etc. It's not as glamorous as our team now and certainly won't win you any trophies. However the state of the Championship now, any clubs throwing money out are a loser unless your London. Would we be at BP? Who knows, would we have Netpar? Probably not. Some things have been done well in those 3 years don't get me wrong and i'll give credit where credit is due. I'm also very privileged to enjoy watching a top end Championship side for 2 seasons. However has it been worth the stress of losing my club? No. In 3 years we've won a League 1 title. Which i've seen us do twice in the past decade before. Attendances have grown by maybe 200/300 tops. If you compare BQ time from Day 1 to the situation we are in now, we are in a much worse situation until someone saves this great club.

For me it's pretty simple. Get out and about in the community. I've never seen the players, coaches, board members anywhere really. We use to see them once a year in Spindles for Meet and Greets etc. Not happened for a long time. I'd start by doing the following making the Players, Coaches, Volunteers, Board Members go to Amateur Rugby Clubs - Youth Primary Schools Secondary Schools Youth Centres (Madhlo) Super Markets / Spindles / High Streets Give out 2 x Free Tickets to every child. Give a presentation of what rugby league is, what Oldham Rugby League is about and their goals. Let them meet the players who are going to be on the field. Make it personable. If you aimed to attend 1 amateur rugby club a week, 5 primary schools, 5 secondary schools and 1 youth centre. That's probably 1000 tickets given out a week. If you did this every week before a home game for lets say 5 home games a year. If only 10% of the Free Tickets was used. That's 100 extra attendance each home game. There needs to be more done. I've said this countless times to my family, Oldham RLFC fan base is predominantly concessions. The focus needs to be on the newer generation. Not just kids but also young adults as well. Enough of them are interested in sports. Open Age Teams at Saddleworth, Waterhead, St Annes, Higginshaw etc. Most have 2 teams. The interest in Rugby League is there, but for some reason doesn't transpire into Oldham RLFC.

Completely agree. The best moments i've witnessed have been over the past 3 years. However like mentioned, total waste if it means the club are struggling and on the brink. Chris Hamilton kept us afloat whether people like it or not. In that period we still saw glimpses of success always a top end League 1 side. Which if you was to transfer that to the modern day would be probably making the play offs in the new Championship Format. Which in my eyes would be good enough for me as we aren't doing much better with an extrodinary wage bill. The past 2 seasons have been class being able to see players like Josh Drinkwater, Jack Walker, Elijah Taylor and many more wear the red and white, I could of never dreamed of that 4 years ago at Whitebank at our lowest. However I honestly feel we would be in a better position now if Quinn never touched us 3 years ago. Fingers crossed this mess gets sorted.

Brad Day for Farnworth, I'd expect to see Bailey Lui back in the mix but its difficult on who he'd replace.

Kilshaw said in a interview Thornley is back after the Challenge Cup Final. So hopefully in 3/4 weeks.

Think we can all agree it's not convenient but neither was going to Sedgley Park on a Sunday. We're back home and that's all what matters. I'd expect a fairly decent crowd of 1500 despite the short notice. 2 of the best teams in the division going at it to see who really will challenge London by the end of the year. Hopefully find out what consortium has won the race to own this amazing club in the next few days. It's exciting times after 6 months of turmoil. If this doesn't entice fans to come to Boundary Park I don't know what will. Up the Yeds

As far as I'm aware it doesn't outline anything really. Just talks about 2/3 groups interested in buying Oldham. Mike Ford mentioned alot. I'm not sure who would want to buy a Championship Rugby League club in 2026, they must be mad. I can only think we will end up under the ownership of Rothwells & Ford. Which in my opinion is better than Bill Quinn. At least Oldham RLFC will be playing in Oldham. Will we have the money we had under BQ? Probably not, but we was cutting back costs anyway as it wasn't sustainable especially with no SL on the cards. With the salary cap introduced next year and London probably being promoted. Oldham will probably be the strongest side in the 2nd tier next year.

Class performance, one of the best in my recent memory. To go up to Barrow and rack a score like that up considering we bombed 18 points in the first half. We seem to off got abit of rhythm behind us now and I think Riley Dean is instrumental behind that. I also think Jack Walker too, I wasn't convinced after his first 1/2 appearances however seems to be exactly what we was crying out for at fullback. But for me, the two who deserve the most credit and have been reliable for the past 2/3 seasons Owen Farnworth and Ted Chapelhow. The only 2 props we have contracted and turn up week in week out for big big minutes, hats of to them. Also Alan Kilshaw deserves credit, I was one who couldn't believe we entertained him when he first come onboard, but we seem to be playing the best rugby we've played in a long time.

Geyer has been class since joining and will be unfortunate for him to leave especially before the Doncaster game. However, don't actually think it will be that big of a loss going of the standard of opposition we play. Morgan Smith will replace him on the bench, which in reality is probably for the best as he wouldn't get back in the halves of recent form of Riley Dean. Matty Wildie is probably in the top 3 9's in the comp still anyway. Hopefully we see Geyer back at Oldham for the play offs before he heads to York. Although does make you question as Geyer wouldn't be on a massive wage, to let him go that easy to a really poor SL outfit in Huddersfield with nothing to play for. Surely we are getting some kind of fee because it seems to be the common trait at the minute, Oldham let players go for nothing yet pinged stupid fees for anyone they bring in. Anyway onto Donny this weekend, we win that and I think the club will be in a better position than they was last year as they would be winning the games what matter then rather than just the walk overs.
