I think the media are simply desperate for a new winner other than Saints, Wigan or Leeds. Aren't we all ? Warrington/Sam hype will step up for sure and now they could go on a run with the fixtures ahead. Perhaps it could be their.....if only Ratchford was 5 years younger their kicking problems are solved.

Another tremendous cup-tie (and commentary), who are they ?). What a wonderful start to the Challenge Cup...good to have League back isn't it ?

Fat lady hasn't sung just yet. 22-28 now.

Golden point or a replay if it's all square ? RAF just gone 14-12 in front with HT just 3 mins away.

Thanks

The Transfer Rumour Mill Thread

Wow, the man who inflicted Wigan's last SL defeat ! -
Starred on the wing in Saints' 1970 Championship Final defeat of Leeds and then went on to become one of the best and most consistent forwards in the game for over a decade. Says everything about the strength of the game then that he was unable to earn international honours because he was central to trophy winning teams at Salford and Widnes. RIP.

I never hinted that logic would come into it......the prospect of a 2006 role-reversal would no-doubt appeal to the Cas' fan in him.

Don't think Daryl is that daft or desperate. No, this now screams only one man: short-term specialist Kear to his boyhood club.
-
Quite right, too. Why should they throw away a top-four place when wobbling Leeds are there for the taking ? No Myler, Fusitua and now Austin gone, Leigh ought to go for it and worry about Hull KR next week having beaten them twice already this season. Have to wonder what on earth's going on at Leeds, though. The exodus continues, to be hoped they have irons in the fire for '24.

At 58, will Powell want to coach again after this ? Twice SL coach of the year but no silverware apart from the League Leaders at Cas' where he did a brilliant job in turning the club around. He's been at it over twenty years and maybe his happiest times were at Featherstone although there were GF and Northern Rail final disappointments there.

Yeah, its 50 games and I wasn't aware it had been published on Saturday. Apologies.
