Holbrook aside (and he's out of the equation anyway), I really hope Warrington avoid dipping in to the merry-go-round of established Super League coaches. Personally, I'd love to see Lee Briers brought home to a big welcome mat and unreserved apology. For the blood, sweat and tears he gave for the club he deserves nothing less.

Thank you, Tim. We're honours-even for the 2023 season. Good luck for next year and the move into the main stadium. The game certainly needs the likes of Cornwall and the 'Canes to do well and there are good times ahead, I'm sure. -

Very even first half in atrocious rain, but Cornwall just clicked in the second. In fact, probably the best kicking game we've had in a long time. Bodes really well for us. -
Report: 2025 World Cup on verge of collapse
ChristianB replied to goldcoaster's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
This would be the best possible outcome, especially if there were some games delegated to Australia too. Just call it RLWC2025 Pacific. I may even have to start planning the RL trip-of-a-lifetime! -
This is brilliant to hear. Everyone involved with the club is determined to achieve success on and off the field, and part of that is welcoming visiting fans (neutral and partisan!) Sincerely hope you make it to another game in the future!!

Most of our home games in Cornwall are scheduled for 1pm. It simply makes life much easier for the players to return home at a reasonable hour - especially important as most have jobs to go to. And, at the end of the day (literally and metaphorically) these extra long journeys are ours to make above and beyond any other team. Cornwall v Workington matches are the furthest any side has to travel in any professional English sporting competition.

Cornwall's first half showing against Hunslet was really encouraging. If we can maintain intensity for a little longer I really do think we can leave Rochdale with 2 points. I don't imagine anyone else thinks it, but past results suggests there isn't as much between them as some reckon. -
Suggestions for Next World Cup Host
ChristianB replied to sam4731's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
A 'Pacific' World Cup seems most sensible to me. Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, + other island nations tbc. -
Not a fan of two-legged tied, but the group game idea I really do like. It will undoubtedly add variety to Championship and League One seasons.

Wigan's determination aside, three things clearly blunted Warrington's free-scoring attack: the loss of several big forwards for rotation, the slippery conditions, and playing the occasion not the game. How the defeat affects them will be interesting come Thursday at Saints. I think they will be ok, but do worry that they are only a couple more injuries away from losing their swagger entirely.

Honestly no idea.

Especially when they have accepted defeats with such good grace. They're a truly great bunch of lads and thoroughly deserve the celebration. Commiserations to the Skolars. I'm sure that Joe Mbu will turn things around. Doncaster next... Should be a good day at the Mem!

Is it Warrington's year?
ChristianB replied to Old Frightful's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Is it *actually* Warrington's year? I'm certainly erring towards it. But give it three more weeks before beyond-reasonable-doubt territory. And with only four names on the trophy, who would reasonably be irked by the idea? The only sad part is that, after all those years of watching, my Warringtonian dad won't get to see it.
