NRL in talks to expand to 20 teams
Live after death replied to The Daddy's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Second New Zealand team us a must. Then PNG, toss up between another Queensland team (Ipswich) or Perth, but nit convinced by a Perth team. -
Having taken just shy of 3 hours one day and 2 1/2 hours another day this week to get to south Manchester I dont fancy another 5-6 hour round trip to St Helens on a friday night. The M62 is beyond atrocious most week days at the moment , and i dont blame fans for sticking with the TV. I’m sure if this was a Sunday there would be several thousand going over. Unfortunately Thursday/Friday trips over the Pennines are just not remotely an attractive preposition nowadays

6 and 7 playing both sides
Live after death replied to Bedfordshire Bronco's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Think the left and right tactic came from Andrew and Matty Johns at Newcastle and think that was to do with them both really being 7’s and decided best fit so they were not stepping on each others toes (proverbially) -
The Newmarket site next to M62 expanding all the time. Huge Amazon and Tk max at Ferrybridge junction. Work starting on 4 massive warehouse units on former Kellingley Again right on M62. Doubt more development on a now saturated 10-12 mile stretch of motorway is going to be appealing. if Cas are relying on this forget it.

Quite simply, this would ruin RL below the professional level, and then to expect juniors to then step up to professional level and having no experience in tackling higher than east height Will surely then risk even more injuries from lack of technique. Only way this would work would be banning passing after contact, its then touch Rugby and who wants that?

Plenty of clubs have the dosh, well at least half. The rest need to up their game or step aside for championship clubs who gave c ambitions. -

Super league cap needs increasing by 2024 to 3.5 million then 4.5 million by 2025 minimum and bring back 50/50 rule, albeit tweaked to 60/40 -

great interview with a real legend

Great player always 3rd 4th best half in Australia, consistently for about 15 years, but when you look who was around as the same time thats no mean feat. had to compete with Lewis, Kenny, sterling, Langer. Then Daley, Fittler, and latter stages Johns. Superb in both spells at Leeds, had everything except pace and lacked a bit of size strength compared to say Lewis, Fittler. Genius will ball in hand not many better. -

37 of 42 back IMG’s proposal
Live after death replied to Jughead's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
I wouldn’t have either Hull club as an A. Both are close. Hull ket down by being a tenant to a soccer club (this goes against wigan as well) and player development is poor for a so called big club in a major heartland area. On field flatter to decive consistently. Rovers better on ground and player development but still not enough. Both probably a B+ But need improvement. I think inly Leeds saints Wigan Catalans maybe warrington are guaranteed A. -

Aussies & Kiwis not coming in 2023...
Live after death replied to Man of Kent's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Not in the foreseeable future. When was the last time England played Scotland in Association football, it used to be every year. But England don’t need it. Australia New Zealand don’t need England. If England gad won this world cup the Aussies would be clambering for a test series for revenge.
