What Are You Listening To - The Reckoning

I still haven’t got round to playing the new CD yet. -
A huge game tonight in Lg2 Oldham v Sutton. If Oldham lose they will be 3pts behind Stevenage on the same amount of games . Sutton Utd are pushing for a play off spot, but i think with my abysmal predictions Oldham will either pick up a point or a win, because they have so much too lose.

I know all the money is in the European Cups nowadays but for me the English league’s mean more. I have far more interest about what is going on in League 2, and the National League than i do with what is going on in the Champions League. But i am in a minority.
-
How long will it be before the giants of football will try for another SL breakaway ?.
-
I was talking to some United fans after their European Cup loss and they said they’re not interested in all that finishing 5th palaver. If Arsenal qualify for the European Cup this season then them not qualifying for any European competition in 20/21 has worked out well for them.
-
I was going to say the same, i know RL have come up with some crazy ideas in the past but what are all these different comps. A large percentage of fans from English clubs would rather not qualify for what i call the UEFA cup.

I have still got my tickets to watch Doug Stanhope in Manchester, i think the original date was for 1975 it was that long ago when i booked. But it has been cancelled again and the date now is April next year.

A fantastic win for you last night CW, it’s a battle between yourselves & Reading now. In Lge1 the battle to avoid the drop looks like it’s between five clubs, Doncaster, Morecambe, Gillingham, Wimbledon, Fleetwood. Crewe are gone now. In Lge2, it looks as if Stevenage will be the other side that will follow Scunthorpe into the abyss. In the National League, Dover (who are still on -4pts) King’s Lynn & Weymouth are on their way out.

Indie music, alternative comedians, visiting museums. -
I didnt think of putting who i am going to see because on this page. But i saw Mark Thomas Friday 4th March. I’ve got “(British) Sea Power Saturday 23rd April”. “Beach House” Tuesday 24th May. I would like to go and watch “The Wedding Present” at the Arts Club in Liverpool in May, but if i miss the last train home id have to walk “a million miles” home.
-
Were they meant to be from Birmingham, because at times i thought Ringo Starr had entered the room ?.
-
I think the WitchFinder was on bbc2 last night, i am looking forward to this but i’ll watch them all in one go. That’s after ive watched the new series of Toast that was on bbc2.
-
Is this the last series of Peaky Blinders ?. I remember watching the first series when it came out as i was looking forward to seeing how realistic it was to the books id read on gangs around the U.K. during the Victorian days to the 1930’s. Sadly i wasn’t that impressed with it unlike everyone else, but I do see a lot of Peaky Blinders wannabes walking around now. The only thing they’re missing are fob watches. If the show had started in the 1870/80’s i wouldn’t have been surprised seeing my neighbours on PennyFarthings, or parking up their balloon in their garden.

I have also got tickets for Beach House in April at the Manchester Academy. I think they have done some lovely stuff. My daughter has said she will go with me which is very kind of her. She thinks ive just made up the names of the bands. she is into Deep House & Soulful House, which to me just sounds like someone banging on the wall next door. -

I also bought the new (British) Sea Power (cd) ive only listened to it the once but im sure it’ll grow on me, i think they are a excellent band. I am off too watch them in Manchester in May sometime and ive got a taxi driver who said he’ll go with me, even though he doesn’t like any of my music. But that’s what brothers are for. -

I got the new Half Man Half Biscuit a while back but ive still not listened to it yet, what do HMHB fan’s on here think of it ?. -
The Barnsley goal from Watford loanee Quina was a cracker, and it looked as if Stoke were just going through the motions, even before the goal. Then they hit back with that sucker punch 5mins into injury time from Baker, it looked as if to me the Barnsley players stood off him. Barnsley fan’s & players will feel sick.
-
CW a win against Stoke tonight and you really are within a chance of staying up.

I have just got the new Sea Power cd, i really like it. I got the HMHB new cd but i haven’t played that yet. i was going through some of my old cd’s and i found The Band Of Holy Joy so i have been playing them, i think they’re great. -
Good comeback by Man Utd after losing that two goal lead. With City slipping up and LFC winning im expecting quite a few people around were i live, will now be looking for their LFC beach towels. They’ll be getting them ready to hang out of their front-room & bedroom windows if they win the title. Their No1 fan the Victorian mill owner Jacob Rhys Mogg will be delighted

They are my joint favourite band. I’ve still got the news letters etc etc they used to send out at times when they were based in Leeds. -
You’re right Sidi they have to squeeze a lot of games in, id have thought the FAC and the Papa John’s thing would’ve been cast aside but they seem to want too go for everything.
-
I only picked them Cw because i would like them too do well in the city and i thought with them sorting out their stadium that’d be a bonus. I think there is only one relegation spot in the NL North, and they’re 5pts above last place so hopefully they’ll stay up. They are averaging about 1,100 this season which isn’t bad for a struggling side.
-
They are having a cracking season along with Wigan Tics. I hope they both go up because i put each way bets on them before the start of the season. They have been better than my other bets of WBA. Bradford City, Grimsby Town, Gloucester City.

Halifax Town fans not happy with The Panthers playing the day after HTFC match was called off. How do they try and sort out pitch issues. Football fans blame the “egg chasers - as they say”, while RL fans blame the football. I wonder if anyone has ever done a study on which sports RL, Football, the other code causes the most damage. Or could it be none of them and instead it could be because of poor drainage ?.
