Historically Leyth Bent n Bongs had a large sporting population link with BWFC - days of pits n mills which lasts to a smaller extent today. Man U ladies and 21s play out of LSV but it seems despite the hype and cheap tickets less than 7000 watched yesterdays semi of the FAC for women

And how many coaches Leigh are taking?
We've not had that for a while
More than I expected with the GN and lack of team - 4 plus a number of pubs run minibuses. Will be about 500 hardy souls with nothing better to do

KR with a 30+ point win, game over after 15 mins and just hope we don’t risk the returning props for this one. Asiata back soon, God knows where Ipape is at and some more incoming soon will set us up for a decent second half to season

I can't see the logic in that, it's up to Leigh to tell Wigan it's allocated seating. That's not a difficult concept for people to get their heads around.
its 200 seats and fans know they will be together - makes visiting the LSV a joy

Why wouldn't they just sell reserved seating for this game?Â
Wigan always sold their away end the same way. Suppose it allows travelling families/friends to stay together and BIG lads get a bit more room

Lots of empty spaces even upto the 65 minute mark, how come?
South stand - Wigan end -Â is not allocated seating therefore 200 empty seats when sold out. You always get a few seats empty in the West as these are allocated to 'diners' in corporate who may decide to stay indoors and watch on TV or through the glass

About as expected for me, rest all niggles next weekend and we will have a few back the following week

Wigan sold their first allocation last week and said they had got a very limited number of additional tickets but I'm not sure if that was in the same stand or not. Looking forward to the game. I get a feeling it's going to be a really tight, tense game and it should be a good atmosphere with a big crowd on again. It's really pleasing to see how well all the Leigh games are being attended.Â
During the life support decades and huge amounts of new housing the Leigh area must house a few thousand Wigan fans, a number of which will have bought into the east and west stands from Leigh. Both ends sold out last week and Wigan will have been allocated about 6/700 in the East Less than 30 left now

In the summer era most fans will miss 2 or more games per annum so in our case at Leigh that’s 10000 over 13 games or 700+ per game
-
60 tickets left. - for a Thursday night knowing your going to get battered is a huge signal to just how far this club has travelled. 500 corporate and full sponsorship is the icing - Grade A nailed on
-
Wigan by 34 Leigh have been rounding smack heads up From the library square to get a team out. Less than 100 from a full house after some returned tickets went on sale earlier. Giving the Leps an average home gate of 9500 this season

Didn’t know the joint held that many. This looks to be the best immediate promotion performance for years and sustaining itself into year 2. Great job Leigh.
Crowd restricted to 10500 at present due to stage and a couple of other bits. Just under 150 left

Approx 10000 pre sales for Leigh v Wigan on Thursday.

It hasn't mattered the last couple of weeks with a very lack lustre Hull FC and then a 2nd division Fev, who played very well, but I think the loss of star performers add to that Tom Amone long term also that we well may struggle today, also if O'Brien does not play and Hardacre is chosen at Full Back, in which he showed v Fev that he has not got the skills any longer to perform that role when joining in the line, he had loads of possession against Fev and failed to utilise Lutele and Charnley down the left he is either to slow or has lost the abillity to pass the ball, as for the right side he failed to venture down there, in conclusion no O'Brien to link up, really effects our attacking threat, we lose with a good margin, O'Brien plays and it will be much closer.
Harry - we rested OB and Lam plus no Dwyer ie totally disjointed attack with no Asiata
Nobody has rolled us  this season despite the poop we have faced
will be a close game

FC middles so unfit. Who recruits for FC as imports not interested. KR miles offside as normal at home with another ref sheeite scared of upsetting the crowd. 80?

Leigh v Wigan on the 4th has about 1000 tickets left

Oddly enough, there was part of Wilkin's rant that I agreed with (of a fashion). While the challenge itself was ultimately cleared, he gave the referee a decision to make, and Saints players something to stoke up some anger about. And it had us a man down for 10 minutes in a close game.
It will happen again, unless he can complete the tackle with his arms actually wrapped around the attacker's legs.
You will see many tackles in most games whereby the defender fails tp wrap his arms aroung the attacker - if the answer is for the attacking team to run in to get the defender dismissed then we will be in for some interesting games, plus you have just outlawed the ankle tapÂ

I believe Wilkins called him a clown - I would gladly contribute to legal proceedings for the sheeite he has had to put up with and character assassination that followed.Â

Batley are a club in which the romance is far stronger than the reality - they can’t pull a home crowd

Thought Leigh, we, would struggle to sell 3000 plus whatever fev bring - looks like we have sold 4500 plus Fev which aint bad for Sat 2pm

imho Fev made a huge mistake in spending big but staying PT or HYBRID? whatever that is. After 2021 Fev spent big but Leigh spent wisely and built a FT squad for SL headed by a recognised head coach - come play offs Fev knew they couldnt beat Leigh and many players knew the easy life was over for them if in SL. 2023Â and it was a clear run with TO rebuilding and no Leigh - was it culture with highly paid players being PT, lack of a proven coach, players knowing they would be surplus if promoted? You cant knock Campbell, unless something comes out of the woodwork, for financially supporting the dream of SL, you cant knock the 1500 true loyal fans - a few hangers on let them down - so to all at Fev good luck rebuilding your club, remember YOUR club

Let's be honest though all of this is down to a rich new owner. I dread to think what we'd look like in Carter was still here .
Derek and the Wakey lad probably have a huge thing in common - no point filling in small losses over a long time but winning nowt when you can throw the gamble in a short space and have a much higher chance to succeedÂ

Wakey are doing the basics right in the Championship - scoring img points and generating interest. The ST deal was numbers not cash designed with the gamble being they buy a ST in SL, but focussed on family not adults and families enjoy the occasion with the result being secondary to a degree.
