That’s how bad it is
I wasn’t arguing. I like the idea of heritage shirts but would prefer the Blue and White vertical stripes.

I know it's a bit late in the season but that Saints shirt is positively dreadful.
That’s some comment given Leigh’s shirt

Fascinating result in the context of the race for the shield and play off positions. I think Catalans have 3 away matches and a home match against Leeds, who can be awful or awfully good depending on the week. I actually fancied Wigan to win although not a chance did I think that they’d run up that score. This could be a one off, virus impacted, for Catalans but very interesting to see the impact psychologically. And let’s not take anything away from Wigan, hell of a result in Perpignan, both Wigan and Saints are running in to much better form and results lately….is it at the right time?

Watched the game late last night on catch up after avoiding the score, not going to trawl through all of the comments on here but most of what I have read I can only agree with….Wow, what a great game! Sure there were errors but it’s a final at Wembley! I thought SKD was terrific and would have got the Lance Todd if he had been on the winning side but can’t argue with Lam getting it.
A Golden Point CC final win after that tense finish in normal time! I hope someone is filming Leigh’s journey because if this was a movie then people would say it was far fetched! It’s an incredible story anyway but Imagine if they go on and take out the GF as well now!
Hope all the Leigh fans are still bouncing for weeks and months to come. Made up for them.
Commiserations to KR, they were part of a wonderful final and they to look to be building well. What a great advert for the game.- 4

Not been this interested in or enthused by a final (not involving my team) in a long while. I have a soft spot for Leigh as my late Uncle coached there but I think their story is that brilliant anyway that it would incredible to see it topped off with silverware, that said I like how Hull KR have slowly and quietly built the club up on and off the field.
I guess there could be a lot of fans, particularly Leigh going down to their first Wembley final and I hope both sets of fans enjoy the magic of Challenge Cup final day.
Honestly I would love to see Leigh win but I would also be happy enough with Hull KR lifting the trophy, whatever happens I hope for a great match and occasion.

Dufty is a real danger with ball in hand. Unfortunately for Warrington he’s a danger to them.

Where did you get the "Percival out for 12 weeks" from ?
After a player has completed the mandatory 11 day lay off after failing a HIA they then have to pass a mandatory doctors assessment. Percy was in the squad last week but the doctors failed him saying he needed more time. He was re-tested this week and passed their assessment so they've cleared him to play.
I think this game is going to be a lot closer than many think. Salford have a fair few key players returning and even if Sironen plays then Saints are still pretty light in the forwards. I doubt there will be anything more than 1 score in it either way.
I did say it was a rumour, unsure where it came from and happy that it’s not true. I didn’t hear or say it was to do with the head injury, Percival has had a number of injuries over the years and I’d be pleased to see him have a long run without injury as he is key to what Saints do so well.

Hurrell out for 4 weeks and a rumour about Percival out for 12. I don’t back against my own team but Salford’s back line is great at times so this could be interesting.

Interesting choice of words from the disciplinary on one of Bell's tackles, "Player comes in a reckless manner but makes legitimate contact with the upper thigh of the opponent." (https://www.rugby-league.com/uploads/docs/MRP Minutes 31 July 2023.pdf)
I have always had concerns about Paul Wellens eyes popping out of his head. If Bell had copped a ban I think there would be a mad search on for them.

The atmosphere at games was terrible and I just came away feeling like I was wasting my time and money. I honestly never thought it would have come to that.
Are you still talking about Oldham or are you talking about Wire now?

I see Leeds winning this one now too many Saints players making poor errors, players who have been great servants, not going to slate them and not sure if they are carrying injuries but they are playing well below their past form.

Sezer play acting at Myler levels.

Nene McDonald always looks a handful.

Even as a Saints fan I am not buying the Bill Arthur line that Jack Welsby doesn’t put a foot wrong normally! There’s plenty of evidence to argue against that.

I am off to see them at a slightly more classy location later next month… Sandringham!
Enjoy mate, not my thing but my Dad said they were incredible, perhaps the best entertainment he has had this year at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Ignore me I am - only last week
Won’t get fooled again!
I only know because my Dad went and told me about the size of the stage and the torrential rain, he thought there might be an impact on the pitch.
I think it’s only The Who and UB4O that have played at the TW stadium this season with older team members than Roby and LMS.

Out of the country and couldn’t watch the match. Would obviously have loved my team to win but congratulations to Leigh, what a fantastic story. Goes without saying that they’ll be there to win it now but their season has been remarkable already. Enjoy the build up and final Leigh fans

I thought Dagger was better to be honest but it was close.
i was gutted when we lost Hall but tbh Dagger is a better more versatile player. I now actually think we got the better deal. I didn’t think that when we signed him.
I don’t know much about Dagger but when Wakey came to Saints earlier in the year, I think he was on debut, he looked excellent. In a side well beaten, at least on the scoreboard, he looked the best player on the field IMHO and I was hoping that he would be a spark for Trinity.
Great win

I think they’ve strengthened really well there.
The Leeming signing is interesting, on the transfer thread there are a few nagative comments, I’ve always liked him and (from the matches I saw) he was often Leeds’ best IMHO.
I don’t think Brenko Lee would be a great addition but plenty have come unheralded from the NRL and settled well. Are King and Wardle not there next year? I remember one being on loan but is there not a view to making that permanent?

Smith and Savelio spoke with real grace and humility tonight.
Great honesty from Wellens about Roby.
Fash looking forward to playing the Catalyst Dragons soon

Best side (by a long way) won tonight. Great response from Hull FC.
i have always thought Shaul was underrated and he had a great game tonight. Litten is a real talent.
Clifford the difference for me though and I wonder what would have happened last week if he was playing. As for Saints, poor night but wouldn’t want to take too much away from Hull, hopefully they can build on this now.
