On the last Boundary Line, Sean said we had it in writing that Phoenix was with us this year.

What Sunday's game against Featherstone has done is set up the semi against the same opposition very nicely! I'm sure their fans will travel in much greater numbers next time & hopefully the Joe Royle stand will be full to capacity. Will their narrow defeat on Sunday give Fev greater motivation to win? Or will the fact that we were fortunate not to lose wipe out any complacency that might have existed in the Oldham camp? It's going to be an exciting few weeks as the build-up to the match gathers momentum - bring it on, after several Challenge Cup semi-final defeats on neutral grounds over the years, we are now at home in a semi as the Holy Grail (for us Oldham fans) awaits the winners. A few prayers will be said in Oldham (and by Roughyeds fans the world over) the night before the game Up the Yeds!

Having had the privilege to attend the extravaganza that was Vegas last week, I would like the Yeds to follow the example of the New Zealand Warriors by utilising the 'Up the Yeds' slogan at every opportunity. 'Up the Wahs' has become a Warriors battle cry in recent times & has been marketed forcefully by the club and their fans have embraced it & shout 'Up the Wahs' whenever they bump into fellow supporters. Could 'Up the Yeds' take off in a similar way? Something light-hearted & simple like this can only help to generate interest in the club.

Don't think Tandle's words are what the majority of us Oldham fans think - as excited and optimistic as we are , we know how tough the Championship will be & that we will have good days & bad. If we are challenging for a top 6 spot that will be a big achievement & anything else will be a bonus.

As a completely unbiased Oldham fan, and having seen a lot of League 1 last year, this is mine:- Keighley, Swinton, Rochdale Hornets, Whitehaven, Midlands Huricanes, Goole Vikings, Dewsbury, Workington, North Wales Crusaders, Cornwall, Newcastle Thunder.
