  1. Everyone knows that toulouse is always a tough place to go, I understand the boys are travelling there Thurs so will have a couple of days to acclimatise and probably have training session, toulouse have hit some form recently as have we, but toulouse are not as strong as they used to be so this could be an intriguing one we definitely have the size and strength where as I would say toulouse have a bit more pace! So not sure of what kind of outcome to expect, I think it might be as close as the home game, so if our boys can deal with the heat il go 20-21
  2. The ground is virtually on a retail park plenty of parking there there are signs saying you have to pay but last time I went it was free for game day but it's best to check theres a parking office in the car park where the big m&s is
  3. FULL GAME ON YOUTUBE FOR ANYONE WHO DIDN'T SEE IT
  4. Don't think the ref gave the knock-on against Hodgson if you watch the highlights he gives against Morton who drops on it you can see him explaining it to Hooley and I guess that was the linesmans call anyway, woods incident I and a few others didn't think there was much wrong with the and it was right in front of us, think woods just fell on his dodgy ankle again that's why I think they took him off as a pro cautionary measure!
  5. In a word, PERFECT an all round excellent performance from the boys! some people are saying that halifax weren't at there best, but your only as good as the opposition let you be, and our boys didn't give them a sniff yesterday! From the very first minute you could see our boys where up for it, even playing up hill the first half we where constantly making good yards! Halifax just couldn't handle our big boys in the middle we totally dominated them, fax only completed 7 sets the whole second half, shows how dominent we where! Good attack Good tries Good defence and a GOOD TEAM! all working hard as ever for each other! well done boys, EXCELLENT!
  6. In a word, PERFECT! all round a fantastic performance from all the boys! Some people are saying fax where poor and not at there best, your only as good as the opposition let's you be! From the first minute you could see our boys where up for this one and didn't give fax a sniff, totally dominated fax, even going up the hill first half we made good yards every set, fax couldn't handle our big boys at all, they only completed 7 sets the whole second half shows how dominant our boys where! good play, good tries, good attack, good defence, and a most of all a good team working hard as ever for each other! well done boys. Excellent
  7. Hooley consistent as ever Manning gives everything every game 3rd all the rest everyone from minute one played excellent wether it was for the full 80 or just 20 mins everyone played there part! Well done boys
  8. I wouldn't worry too much about it really! It's basically re framing the future with a few twists, and hows that worked out 30yrs later and still some clubs havent moved on look at the grounds some clubs don't even own a ground, wakey only just improving, and cas especially still in a sh**hole of a ground now, looks like our ground did in the early eighties, the community bit is a joke and doesn't add up! it doesn't matter if your catchment area is 1mil your only going to get fans of the game in look at the broncos must have had a dozen grounds all over London!(pop 8.9m) And they still only average about 800,(00000.1%) fev pop 15.5k average gate 3.5k(20%) do London get a spot before fev? and most clubs averages are still no different to when super league started!(Salford 4.5k pop 250k hudds 6k pop 141k wakey 5k pop 350k) hardly fantastic % rates, Apparently I.m.g have been paid £2million for this report, which is basically framing the future re-written only the R. L could fall for that one, you could have got a dozen fans together for the price of a pork pie and a cup of tea each and got what everyone is thinking what this report really is! it's about the age old class system that this country has run on for hundreds of years protect the wealthy and healthy, and never mind about the peasants!
  9. Form goes out the window for this game both teams know this is always a big game no matter what the circumstances, and there's never much between them, I reckon we are going to need all our big boys in for this one, think we need the win more than fax with our next 2 games being the 2 toughest of the season,
  10. Don't think there's any toxicity on here just different opinions! That's what a forum is for to discuss, it's good that there is plenty of topic and conversation on here in good times and bad, some forums I've noticed are hardly used, it shows people are passionate about the club, I'm sure there's always going to be opinions and disagreement on here!but I am sure of one thing we all would agree on, is we all love the Bulldogs! and would be lost without them.
  11. I think people need to remember is that we don't actually know what the actual day to day running costs of the club are! We have had a bit of success over the last few years and I think people believe there should be bundles of cash floating about I think for winning the grand final last year it was £35k what's that 2 or 3 players at best! I'm sure craig is frustrated at not being able to bring bodies in has have many a batley coach before him, coaching batley is a tough gig and they understand that, but I also understand that being told no all the time will lead to frustration,I'm sure craig is thinking about players welfare when asking! don't forget these boys have jobs and family, and having to push them to the limit every week is hard on them and him, every coach wants success for his team and I'm sure craig wants to leave on a high for him and the club! and although we have a few injuries at the moment, we are still winning games! What craig has is a team that is tough well bonded and hard to beat that work hard for each other, no superstars or glory boys like samutt at barrow! a top 6 finish is what we set out for this season and it looks like we may achieve that goal, I'm sure craig still has faith in the squad all be it being a bit battered and bruised like most teams at this stage of the season, we don't have the unfair so called luxury of DR but how many teams does it actually work for! To me it's like putting a sticking plaster on a broken leg! for us to be where we are at the this stage of the season in the toughest championship so far is testament to the players linners, moxon, And the medical staff! We need to get behind the club and show as much support as we can to craig and the boys! Also the board! Just be thankful we ain't where dewsbury are!
  12. Don't know where you get all this from, a massive shift in form! We have had 1 loss in 9 games, yes it wasn't pretty yesterday but a few out and a few in and moving players around will cause a bit of incoherence, also conditions will have dictated how the game was managed, both teams struggled yesterday! And I'm sure the coaches will have plenty to say about how the game was managed and played, I'm also sure the players will know they weren't at there best yesterday and will have a totally different mind set for the halifax game, no massive overhaul needed! We have the players to beat any team at any time!
  13. Paul crarey in is interview after the game discribed Batley as the (masters of grind! ) a good discription of our boys I thought!
  14. Listened on the radio sounded like pretty bad conditions! Not great for rugby which would probably explain so many errors from both sides, it sounded like we weren't at our best the amount of time we dropped the ball was unbelievable, did kibula manage to hang on to a ball at all today every time he seemed to be mentioned was because he had lost the ball, despite all the mistakes yet again we manage to grind out another tough game! Radio commentary said that our last try was from a forward pass looking at the short clip ive seen didn't look forward and no appeals from the barrow players, and great play from Meadows to dummy then delay the pass! Also listen closely to the guys reaction right at the end of the clip
  15. Been told Hooley was training with our boys last night I suspect he could be playing Sunday, only thing is mcgowan is doing an excellent job at fullback himself.
  16. We ain't doing much better down here! 6 of our regular squad out last week against London, our problem is we ain't got the unfair luxury of duel reg with anyone! So we will be bringing a patched up team too!
  17. Another tough one for the boys! we are down on numbers and need some big bodies back in for this one maybe Hirst and kibula could fill in, it was a disappointing result last week but with the fixtures we have coming up this game I think it needs to be a win, with it being so tight in the top 6, 2 or 3 losses for us and the whole picture changes! Does anyone else think that the 6 in there already could be the final 6,in what ever order!
  18. Also has, as been said before a 1000 xs, why when we are struggling to make yards out of our own half and needing field position, where are our 40/20 attempts, there was a fairly strong breeze blowing down hill today and yet again nothing, London did one today gaining good field position which lead to a penalty!
  19. I would guess if he's been told no! It would be down to kev! Not every club is going to say no to batley! and what about Hooley he still isn't making the Leeds squad why isn't he back, I know we do have to make every penny count but surely some funds could be made available!
  20. We converted 1 try speaking of which I've said before Meadows kicking is not very consistent, converts 1 from wide out but misses a sitter in front of the sticks!
  21. Poor today from the boys from the start, we just never seemed to get any real momentum going it seemed all stop start from us with too many missed tackles allowing them too many off loads, intercepted try could have been avoided we had 2 on 1 if it had we gone thru hands, Meadows hard to read at times must be frustrating playing along side him is he going to give or go? Should we have gone for the 2 points with 10 mins to go? when that was the only time we had a little momentum going, and not really a difficult kick, 30 out in front of the sticks! (All ifs & buts) I know, we where down on numbers today but I still thought we should have beaten them! A loss at some time was inevitable but to lose to a poor team in such a way is disappointing!
