I don’t think it’s blaming fans I personally think you can’t keep making excuses and blaming the club for this for that the fans of Oldham if you want Oldham to play at Boundry park have to come out and support if not then let them try something new it won’t work at any ground even in Oldham if it isn’t your own ground BQ was trying to buy bower fold so we had a ground and could see what happened from there, first time in thirty years and lots of potential to do many things to bring in revenue and fans at Boundry park you have no chance it’s only the council keeping rugby there but in next four years we could be Hamada again and a wasted opportunity gone forever

So it’s not in Oldham but for one minute ask yourself what if I’m right, would you rather a club still here or gone bust, I would like to see when we haven’t got this great winning team that bq put there and we’re losing how many will it be 600 which are made up mostly of concessions and kids so maybe 200 paying full price david Bottomley told me on Friday night we have lost money on the last three games so herbie if the club charged for kids and put prices up and got rid of concessions what do you honestly think will happen the maths don’t lie.

You have just had three games and look they all came running back to bp i was at Salford game and yes they have the following and great passionate fans where are all ours ? you have to except we only have 800 hardcore fans and we will not grow many more when everything as people put it was going great at the club we got 1400 average at bp problem to play at bp and to break even there we need minimum 2000 so people say schools, done that free tickets, done that good team, done that, pathway done that go to the amateur clubs, done that only thing the club didn’t do was leaflet drop as suggested i I wish I was wrong 100% and Boundry park was the place to be at fans forum bq said that we were that close to super league the only thing that we were light on was attendance and the broadcaster didn’t want another Huddersfield with one stand as looks very bad and no atmosphere he stated RFL would be happy for us to move from bp and after they visited bower fold they said stay there that was said to a few of us at the end when questions were asked with bq and Simon Winnard.

Well we have 800 hardcore now and an extra 200 at bp so if we have 2000 at Tameside and we were able to find our own ground in Oldham we might have day 1600 we might lose 400 plus we take a fans vote at the time lots of people who told me they don’t like bower fold have since said yeh it’s better than Boundry park for lots of different reasons plus in Tameside you have a better chance, in Oldham your fighting against the football and the fact the size of the Asian population which will only grow and our hardcore fans are sadly 80% over 60 years old I would love to be in Oldham but we’re not going to grow we’re going to wilt away.

I didn’t say anything was wrong with whitebank but you couldn’t even play there in the championship so that’s enough for me don’t think anyone was led down any path three seasons at bp and attendance dropped, so maybe bq and directors could say they were led down the garden path as where were the fans earlier in this season we played Widnes cold wet Friday night we got 1300 plus now had three games and just over a thousand so come on it speaks volumes there is never going to be average 3000 at Boundry park our town has to take some responsibility £10 and they didn’t come time to say fair enough and try another route as we keep getting the same answer in five years I fear no club and left for dead
