I would imagine, given the crowds at Oldham compared to other championship sides, we'll be looking at a mid-table finish in all likelihood next season. There has to be a harsh realism about income/expenditure. There's no longer one individual prepared to bankroll the club. Until the current situation with SL, the NRL and the new sky deal is resolved, it would be wise to keep to a sensible budget

Deserves another go next season, he's done well under difficult circumstances. A lot will depend of course upon what sort of squad he'll have going into next season.

I would imagine the players themselves knew they've not been at their best over the last couple of games. The London game this weekend is somewhat of a free hit therefore. Nobody seriously expects oldham to get within 20 points of them, but there's nothing to lose and a huge effort might cause an upset.

Think it will be an Oldhamer win by about 20. As for attendance, anything over a thousand would be excellent but it could be lower given it's a nice day and it's holiday season

The NRL want London in. That's a condition of any deal, along with both French clubs in a ten team SL. That's going to leave clubs like Cas, Leigh, Huddersfield, York, Bradford and possibly Hull back in the championship. Logically that would suggest back to two championship divisions. Interesting times ahead possibly.

Very good interview from Mike Ford. That key word that he mentioned a few times with regards to the intentions of the new board of 'sustainability' could well be key. Is it going to be a short term thing with a long term ambition of investing in a decent squad that gives a decent punt at SL? Or is it too be a long term one of spending only whats generated through the turnstiles and off field sponsorship? For me, the season is coming to an end, if anyone is to be promoted it will be London, that leaves a championship that as Ford says is already significantly weaker. It will be interesting to see what the new boards long term plans are for the club.

Yes I've posted on many. Yesterday was coming fir a while really and might do the team a whole world of good. They were always likely to struggle against a much bigger team. That's why I think the London game will be similar.

London are the best team in the division by miles. Having said that, they're capable of an off day and maybe today's result is a kick up the backside for some players.
