It must have been a rough kinda area, as rough people were tarred with "bet there from Daw Green" in a kind of put down term
-
My Grandma mentioned "Daw Green" on many occasions Where was it in Dewsbury?? Maybe West town area??

Teams in the championship are going 1 of 2 ways in recruitment 1. Ship in a load of old men and buy success Or 2. Build a team for the next 2 seasons Is there a level of speculate to accumulate, banking on no relegation in 2025, where league 1 and the Championship merge. Dangerous game banking on that And does leave us wide open to failure if that merging doesn't happen Let's just finish 12th and avoid the relegation roller-coaster

So which is the right info He might have got fed up playing halfback and fancied a change

£25 in the current financial crisis is far too much, how are fans ment to afford such high admission prices, I personally wouldn't pay £25 to go to any rugby match, everybody as a price they won't go beyond. 2 adults £50 Rather put it in the petrol tank and go off on all day adventure Not that I'm a tight Yorkshire man Or don't love the game I just refuse to be held ransom for something I've watched all my life. Dewsbury has always been one of the cheaper admission prices. We're trying to attract new fans, families to the game. Batley tenner in was a bit of a disaster £30,000 shortfall, fair play to Kevin for attempting to drag in new fans. No rugby league fan should pay in more than £20...that is the maximum ceiling as far as I'm concerned Keep it real

Just don't get Oldham's recruitment, surely signing half the players, and saving half the money for next season would have been a better option for me.

There's always Chisholm

The Sam Day saga has been On Off, On, Off, On, Off Heard he didn't want to go in the championship due to work commitments, then I heard he did want to play next season, then I heard he wasn't going to play, then I heard he wanted to play but couldn't as he couldn't do training, then I heard Sam & Dale had worked out how he could play without training So looks like the Hokey Cokey currently stands at OUT rather than IN

Sam Day or Paul Sykes For me still need 2 forwards and a halfback

I just don't get the level of investment.. Oldham's offensive is like cracking a walnut with a nuclear bomb... Why all those high rolling players beggers belief for League 1, The championship just seems like a fire sale scramble, Doncaster, York, Sheffield,Wakefield, on a lesser front Bradford, Toulouse, Halifax.. Featherstone clearing virtually the entire toybox.. Its going to be exciting to watch the twists and turns throughout the season. Then the also rans Batley Dewsbury Whitehaven Swinton Widnes Barrow Don't say it lacks ambition because before a ball is kicked I would take 12th place now. Don't say we're aiming for top 6 because thinking we're capable of that.... Needs their medication ranking up Tough season ahead for a lot of teams, objective is to survive, stay up.... And build on that

Be worried..... Very worried

For me Oldham have been reckless in their recruitment, total overkill What is there 9 home games, and they'll never break even on any of them. I understand they want out of league 1 But their trying to open a can of beans..... With a Tiger Tank
