Enjoyed that although I don’t recall Leigh being in SL in 2014. In fact, Fev and Bradford (I think) were the big hitters that season as I remember Ryan Brierley finishing Fev off in the second half. Still, Fev still play some good stuff and I wish them well this year

I don’t think Leigh have appealed anything, more than just prove a point that under the current rules, the attempted tackle wasn’t illegal ? Was it ugly? Yes Is John Wilkin Ugly ? Most definitely. It will be interesting to see what the ref does next as I can name a good few players ( and one in particular who plays for Saints) who can tackle just like Asiata. I think the game is cleaner as a result but still a lot of work to do.

Lost the play off at Wigan if I remember right ? Has Steve Hesford still kicked that winning goal yet 43 years on ?

26th Feb, 1995. Challenge Cup. Workington 94 Leigh 4 4 Hours to get there, 14 hours to get home, but a lovely pub to break down in front of on the A595. We did score the best try of the match though and i don't remember getting home !!! Not all bad !!

Leigh gave HKR a good dig in that game in 86. We ran away with Div 2 that year8 and I went to that Wembley final with the Leigh Juniors lot. Hard to believe Rovvers lost that game with all the stars they had in their team.

I remember a very poor Leigh side going to HKR in Feb 96 and nilling them. Was it 24 nil ? Played the mighty Bradford Bulls in the next round who lost in the final that year to St Helens 40-32. I cant see past a HKR win but stranger things have happened and it is cup Rugby. If it was at LSV, we may have a better chance but too many injuries. Saints, Wigan, Cats and HKR in the last 4

Blew my coupon this one. I thought London might give it a dig with 30 start but folded like a deck of cards. Lack of gaining yards, not winning the ruck and running out of gas will result in some blow outs unfortunately, but like Leigh a few seasons ago, may shock a few towards the end of the season.

The writing was on the wall after the London game. Hull very soft on the edges defensively. I feel it will be a very long season but London are not a SL so they have 12 months to build.

Left edge of Leigh may come up trumps. I can see Charnley and O Donnell assisting in what will hopefully be our first 2 points.

Ok, Everyone looked shell shocked that he put the ball over the line but the ball carrying arm wasn’t grounded although you could deem the momentum was. The online call of the ref needs to stop and let the VR make the call. Every single person in the pub I was in (and on Sky) couldn’t see a DM where his ball carrying arm was grounded first before he reached over. I will look again later but I think the VR had a pie in the oven !
