  1. If you're going for the weekend what does it matter which day your club is playing.....
  2. Why do you think hiring the LNER stadium would cost 'next to nothing'?
  3. A Russian soldier ran up to a nun walking down a sidewalk in Petrograd. Out of breath he asked, “Please, may I hide under your skirt? I'll explain later.” The nun agreed. A moment later two politsya ran up and asked: “Sister, have you seen a soldier?” The nun replied, “He went that way.” After the politsya ran off the soldier crawled out from under her skirt and said, “I can't thank you enough, Sister. You see, I don't want to go to Ukraine.” The nun said, “I understand completely.” The soldier added, “I hope I'm not rude, but you have a great pair of legs!” The nun replied, “If you had looked a little higher, you would've seen a great pair of balls, too. I don't want to go to Ukraine either."
  4. Last season Leigh's average result was 48-8, this season we're averaging 42-10 so yeah, they blew teams away far more convincingly......
  5. Looks like I have a Robin nesting in one of my sheds at the allotment - came out from under the bench to see who was visiting when I walked in today. Not one I (have to) go in very often so it should be able to get on with things pretty much undisturbed, by me at least. A much more welcome tenant than the rats who've lived in there in the past!
  6. When first announced it was quoted at the launch that the Bash would provide the fans with 'a day out at the seaside'. (Un)fortunately we've moved on from the 1950s and 60s when there were far fewer car owners and the local Working Men's Club's day trip to the coast was a highlight of the year....... Time to kick it in to touch.
  7. Because it's played in the spring and is a 'b(ag) a sh.....'?
  8. You honestly think they wouldn't have moved if enough money had been available? The thing about grants is that you usually need to provide some finance yourselves as Gubby states. Cas have been talking about moving from WR since the mid 70s and every 'plan' has so far failed because of lack of money, particularly the Club's.
  9. Pray tell how they would have funded that move?
  10. Maybe not lose but possibly not gain if he has appearance and/or win bonus clauses in his contract.
  11. Link Doncaster forward Brett Ferres has been found not guilty of a Grade F charge of intentional contact with a match official during the club’s recent Betfred League One fixture at Dewsbury. https://www.rugby-league.com/article/61765/operational-rules-tribunal-|-may-24
  12. Their loan is over 15 years at 2.5% interest. Repayments are around £21k/month and they have been repaying since they received the money a few years ago.
  13. Probably goes back to the Sam Barlow 'transfer'
  14. Yeah, I'd love to see the models they've used for those income predictions. It's not as though there are several (underutilised) all- weather pitches and numerous conference/event facilities (with easier access) in the area.
  15. We don't need one, the refs do it for us.....
  16. Keighley Cougars have announced they have parted company with head coach Rhys Lovegrove with immediate effect. Assistant Coach and Jamaica International, Jy-mel Coleman will take over as head coach on an interim basis with the support of Jordie Hedges, Dean Muir and Jake Webster who steps up as Director of Rugby.
  17. TO, although they've just scored again about 6m into the 2nd half going up the hill
