Featherstone Rovers 2024 Squad
Les Tonks Sidestep replied to marklaspalmas's topic in Featherstone Rovers
I'd have thought it more difficult for them as they share the ground with the stock car lot. I doubt they'd be best pleased should large swathes of the stadium be ruled unusable. -

Fandom is probably another area - they have almost double the number of Twitter, sorry X, followers and have had a big 'every like matters' campaign going for a while. Now whether many clicks are just reflex or real engagement matters not for the purposes of scoring. Not sure we'll match them on community either -

Personally I'd say that's a daft idea and be very surprised if such obvious manipulation of the scoring didn't get frowned upon . -

I suspect not. I can't see any way we can get the 3 points or so needed to make the top 12. Kevin Nicholas has also said something similar. -
I was going to reply to your earlier post saying that Cats and Wigan share the points for 2nd/3rd to ask if you'd had that confirmed? I really can't see why that would be the case rather than them both being classed as 2nd with the next club (Leeds) being 4th. Similarly both Salford and Warrington would then be classed 6th

Championship Meeting #2
Les Tonks Sidestep replied to Blind side johnny's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
By sooner they do not necessarily mean soon - they clearly state that having 7, rather than the 4 or 5 expected, A grade clubs means they are closer to the dream of 12. -
It should have been done this year not least to iron out any unforeseen issues on the auditing side of things. As for clubs' submissions, any genuine mistakes (and it's likely that's what they are rather 'fiddling') need to be flagged up now before being repeated next year and potentially making the whole process look tinpot.

Leaving aside that you've not rounded correctly why would they be rounded up to 1 decimal place when published in the handbook to 4 and even Bradford quote to 2? Plus even rounded to 2 dps (2.22, 1.78 and 2.33) they still give an average of 2.11 not 2.17 or to 1 dp (2.2, 1.8, 2.3) 2.1. Maybe they used their attendance calculator?

Well Batley thought that's what was going to happen until the meeting back in March; Like other clubs, Nicholas was of the understanding that a Grade B licence would make clubs eligible for promotion. But in a key difference, the twelve clubs that are scored highest annually will make up the top flight. https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/batley-img-super-league-bias-26432345
