Bulldogs back at home tonight against Sheffield Eagles and hope to get their season back on track after 5 defeats in the league which had a 1895 semi and final in between these games , now the focus can now be back on play offs and getting a high position as possible . COYD

get this up early as got a very busy week. This still seems like a dream , if someone told back in the 70's when i used to trudge over the pennines either by train, coach or a cadged lift of the match official ,that in my time of watching Batley play , that i would go to Toronto , Toulouse to watch them play, win 2 cups up to press and finally get a trip to Wembley to see little old Batley play , i would have said yer need your head examining as many have told me that i need mine examining by supporting Batley and not a big club.
Well that time has come this Saturday as Batley go to play at Wembley for the first time ever in 1895 cup Final where they take on Halifax Panthers in what should be a cracking game between 2 evenly matched teams with Batley having the upper hand this season having played them 3 times already and been victorious on the 2 of them and lets hope them Dogs are barking come saturday evening and them panthers slinking away with tails between them legs.

Played on the pitch today it's in fine condition shouldn't be any problems for tmoro, speaking of which saw the bulls match monday didn't see much to worry about! I reckon the outcome depends on where our boys heads are here or wembley!
hopefully focused on this game to get 2 pts and put a solid claim in for a place in the squad for next weeks game

with just a week to go ,to the boys stepping onto that famous Wembley turf to take part in the 1895 Final, sees them on that more famous turf of Mount Pleasant as they take on Bradford Bulls with focus on getting the 2 points and staking a claim for a shirt in next weeks Wembley game, getting giddy here, will have to do without Luke Hooley as been recalled by his parent club Leeds and is in their 21 man squad and will mean Mcgowan back at FB and Elliot Kear back on the wing who will be keen to show his former employers were wrong to let him go.

i saw that he was on DR with us from leeds to the end of the season so it wont matter that he has been recalled, will still be able to play for us from what i understand

Im quite sure that he will see the season out with Batley as Linners is a man of integrity and we still have wembley and still in play off positions and would like to think he will see this out , only thing that could happen is that Cas give him an ultimatum in that if he doesn't take the head coach job now and leave Batley now , that he will lose the chance to work at Cas, if that was the case would hope he puts two fingers up to them , but you couldn't blame him if that did happen and he took over the head coach job now as he has without a doubt earnt a crack at SL

Leeds don't have a game on Wembley weekend so should be available still

This is the big one as take a break from League action as the Bulldogs travel over to York to take on the Knights in the 1895 Cup Semi final where the victors will get to play at Wembley which is every players dream in the 1895 Cup Final against either Halifax or London. This is a game where i'm sure both sets of players will be up for this one . Lets hope for a Bulldogs win so we can all go to Wembley to see the Dogs play there for the 1st time ever.

Hooley is available for both semi and final if needed , only injury worry that we saw from Toulouse game was Dale Morton but seemed fine after the game

Putting this up early as may not get time later with an early flight from stansted on friday morning to Toulouse via Carcassone to go the cheer the lads on and would like a win so can have a few pots in the Melting Pot after to celebrate, lets hope they can keep up the good form from last week where they nilled the Panthers which i never saw coming and shame i was working and had to miss it, a win in Toulouse and if York beat Sheff will see the dogs with a 4 pt cushion in 2nd place with just 7 games to play after this weekend

have you got a magic pot of money ? its all well and good saying we have to offer more money, but if we ain't got it ,we ain't got it unless a sugar daddy comes along and is happy to invest loads of money into the club we are where we are and still have a club to support
