Chemical testing laboratory. Soil and water contamination parameters for me. They also tested for bacterial contamination etc.

They had labs at Manchester and Cambridge; collected in a van fleet so you generally didn't have to use parcels delivery companies

Something I'd forgotten, but have just been reminded of - the first ever review of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon was written by... Lloyd Grossman!

I have an aunt who buys me a toblerone every birthday ... and I never eat them or want them , but my mam in dictator style has banned me from telling my aunt I want something else in case she gets upset . So I lie and look surprised yet delighted  in Oscar winning style

Reminds me of an old lady I used to visit.

One day she asked me if I liked Brazil Nuts. I said I did and she gave me a bag of them.

From then, everytime I went she would give me some despite my protestations.

One day I asked why she was so keen for me to have them. She told me her daughter brought her some every week. I said she should tell her daughter that  she didn't like them.

" Oh! I like them but the nuts get under my false teeth so I suck the chocolate off and give the nuts to you" ?

The first time I ever used foreign money ( Deutsche Mark) was to buy a Toblerone.

My first attempt to use foreign currency was on a school trip to Austria. I'd carefully learnt the phrase, "Ein briefmarke zu ein achtzig, bitte." The shopkeeper thought for a second or two and replied in English, "They aren't one eighty now. The price went up to two schillings six months ago" talk about deflated! At least he had realised that I had no chance of understanding that in German.

The average person in the UK has an above average number of legs!

This is because whilst no one has more than two legs there are a small number of people only have 1 leg.
Therefore the average number of legs of people in the UK is a very very small sum of less than two!
Thus anyone with two legs is above average.

The same kind of thinking can be used to show being tall is linked with lower life expectancy.

That's just mean.  You have to look at your mode of working here and you'll be fine with two legs.
