The Liverpudlian legend releases another album full of melodic rock/pop genius (and a Britney Spears cover) and most of the world won't even notice. It's the world's loss, because this is <insert expletive for added dramatic effect> brilliant.

If you've ever liked any of his stuff in the past, solo or as The Icicle Works, do yourself a favour and get this. You won't be disappointed.

It's a funny thing Northern Soul. Quite a broad church really. " Accept My Invitation " by The Band Of Angels was on the home made CD I referred to earlier along with " Beggin' " by Timebox and " Incense " by The Anglos.

All were considered to be Northern Soul tracks at one time yet all were made by White English bands and are more pop than soul in my opinion.
