Hampton Grease Band - Music to eat (1971).

Influenced by Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart and, in their turn, a big influence on the "jam bands" of the Nineties like Phish and Widespread Panic.

And the first time I've ever come across a song named after where I live, although 'Hendon' starts with Bruce Hampton declaiming the safety instructions from a can of aerosol spray paint. Not sure what that has to do with this particular enclave of North-West London

Good fun, as long as you don't mind things going a little weird every few minutes. Hang on, that's my Tinder profile...

Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.

Just been listening to one of my favourite Elton John albums, Too Low For Zero. It matched my mood. It's the one where he finally reunited with lyricist Bernie Taupin after a few misfires. I've loved it since first buying it on release in 1983, in the olden days of vinyl LPs and having to listen to the whole thing through in the order intended. Even now, if I listen to it on a digital download, it doesn't sound 'right' if it's shuffled as I'm so used to hearing the songs in their original order.

Cold as Christmas (In the Middle of the Year)
I'm Still Standing
Too Low for Zero
Religion
I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues
Crystal
Kiss the Bride
Whipping Boy
Saint
One More Arrow

Three classics there Oxford. I had them all on vinyl back in the day. I had the Erma Franklin track as well but I forget what label it was on.

When I got divorced my ex wife was awarded all my record collection by the judge. Probably over 30 years of collecting gone. I was given the opportunity of buying it back but I'd spent enough money trying to get it back to start with, that along with gaining access to my kids.
