Interesting NE 9/17 oversea's players. Now you do surprise me.

and just a quick question, Barrie Mc over Kylie, very very surprised and no hanley or schofield

not been watching leeds long the NE??????????????

otherwise you would have included: mick shoebottom, john holmes, david ward, barry seaborne, bob haigh etc etc etc............incidentally mick shoebottom was for me by far the best leeds player i have seen.

What's wrong with not watching a team until the Super League era?

nothing at all, but its also interesting when he goes on about other clubs with loads of overseas, and he picked 9/17.

Surely there's a logic to that though - if you're going to have overseas players then shouldn't they be among your better ones ?

I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally

I'm struggling, mainly cos in the near 40 years I've been watching Wires, I've seen many great players in all positions, even though the trophy cabinet doesn't really back up that statement.

For example.

Scrum half.

Parry Gordon, Andy Gregory, even Alfie Langer, 3 great players, that's if I put Briers stand off, ahead of Woods, Blake, Kelly, Bishop (oh, he seems to have left again...) Murphy or Shelford.

Full back: Whitehead, Hesford (a real rock at the back, and 2 points every kick), the attacking flair of Johnson.

Give me another day to mull it over......

Yes there is logic in that, but NE spouts on about home grown this home grown that, i for one just think its laughable.

maybe i am on my own, but i have read plenty of his dribble.

the players from outside the SL era would get tonked in todays game, too fast strong and skillful. players are far more developed now. Those players youv mentioned wouldnt get into championship sides these days

should give most teams a game even without Paul Moriarty, Kelvin Skerret, Mick Scott, Asa Amone, Dave Watson, Bendan Hill, Paul Medley.

Castleford player - exempt!!!

Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.

I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try

Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

Dessy is possibly my favourite player of all time, I nearly wet myself with excitement when he signed for town. Still remember him terrifying a prop who ran over to throw a punch, Dessy took up a karate style stance and the big fella just stopped and ran off. Quality.
