sidnee
Where are Huddersfield playing next year, and why???? Be quite ironic if it was Bramall Lane The weak conform, the strong survive.
daz
Huddersfield are moving to Halifax for 3 home games at least, they will be playing from The Shay mid season whilst they have some kind of GrassMaster system re doo there pitch. Could be longer you never know. Seems our Grounds are good enough to play at for a temp period and even when we draw the SL clubs in the Challange Cup our grounds are good enough then too. Matt J
The infuriatingly stupid criteria and P+R rules are driving outside fans away as its, in one outsiders words, 'beyond retarded', I tried supporting franchise system, but its making the game look like an even bigger farce than a club going straight up and back down. The fob off excuses are beyond a joke also, the line 'we stopped P+R to save you from debt' is the worst. its like the rich scoffing down at a feast while the poor are denied entry because the rich are trying to save the poor from choking. Also, anyone that supports P+R is bullied by the franchise Nazis (sorry CW) called a flat capper and flamed into submission (as is the popular tactic on RLFags.com). Cummins Out. If its to stop debt whats happened to Harlequins and one or two others that are in the mire in super league?
Jimmy B
Whilst I am totally against the elitist mentality that has now become the norm within our game, I am dubious about the sincerity of Mr Smiths comments. It would seem he is a hard man to please. He was very much oppopsed to the promotion of Leigh at the expense of Castleford only a couple of seasons ago, despite their respective fates being decided on the field of play. Something that rang out loud and clear in his YEP columns. Now he is unhappy at the way the granting of licences is being run - with many valid points I might add. Now I don't know if Mr Smith is a Cas fan or not, but I cannot help but feel that his concerns are more influenced by the fact that it would seem Cas are again prime candidates to loose their place in SL, than him having a concern for fair play regarding the awarding of SL Franchises. Lets not forget, Featherstone Rovers is a RUGBY club.
