New Catalans Dragons coach Trent Robinson continued his team re-building with the signing of Australian centre Ben Farrar.

The 23-year-old Farrar, who has played most of the year at full-back for Manly Sea Eagles in the absence of Brett Stewart, has signed a two-year contract with the French Super League club.

He is among seven new faces for the Dragons in 2011 including his best friend Scott Durea, a scrum-half from Newcastle Knights.

"He has been one of the most sought-after young players in the past two seasons in the NRL and I am very happy to have him on our staff next season," said Robinson, who has succeeded Kevin Walters in the Perpignan hotseat.

Better than decent. Just.

Ben Farrar is a young utility back who prefers to play centre. He is at least the equal of any English centre.

In the event that Super League's best full back Clint Greenshields is injured, Farrar can cover that position well.

Le rugby a treize, c'est moi!

When Catalan are next on Sky he'll be the one with the cape and his underpants over his shorts.

"surely they've got to try somthing different now, maybe the little chip over the top?2
