Really enjoyed Alan Partridge and his welcome return to the BBC.

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

I similarly loved it. What's so good about Partridge is that it's a coherent narrative that's been going on for over 25 years.

There was quite a bit of pushback online but if you're a Partridge fan like me it fit in perfectly with how he's evolved over the years. It seems like a lot of people were expecting a second series of knowing me knowing you.

Not the absolute best Partridge, but very good. This was a scene-setting first episode, so I'm sure things will go much worse for Alan over the next few weeks.

If you are precious about spoilers then don't look, but the synopsis for the next episode sounds like a brilliant scenario to set up some classic Partridge.

I really enjoyed it, it's kind of cherry picked the best of things like Knowing Me, Knowing You, Day Today, Mid Morning Matters and the recent "documentaries" on Sky and yet created something new with it. It started off slow, but there is lots of potential there. I listened to a podcast with the writers the other day and they said they are already working on the next Partridge project for the BBC so I wonder if this series is only intended to be a one-off.

I've started series 3 of the Expanse, and blooming heck its good. IMHO its the best sci-fi series out there and has cured my despair of STD.

Shohreh Aghdashloo's character is a joy to watch.

Adding to my STD (Star Trek Discovery) cure last nights episode of the Orville (Identity part 1) was the best of the series so far and really gave me a Best of Both Worlds part 1 (Star Trek Next Gen) feel even if the story was very different. For a series that's supposed to be a bit of a Star Trek-eqsue romp that was amazing.

Good to see Endeavour back on the Telly , added bonus , rather than the usual classical music to bring in the show , we had  What is and what should never be " by Zeppelin , class all round .

On top of that, tonight's episode is named after a ZZ Top album.

Enjoyed the first episode of "Race across the World" on BBC2. Cheering on Team Dad & Son.

Enjoyed it too.  Not sure about some of the tactics!  Dad and son are great, will be character building!

I had to look it up. Deguillo.

Was it about decapitation? Are they whodunnits like Morse?

Is it worth watching on Catch up?

I'm guessing the title is a reference to the Alamo, as in making a stand.

Worth giving a go I would say.

My wife forces me to watch US medical drama's and currently we're watching New Amsterdam on Amazon Prime. It's pretty good but it does make me even more thankful we've got the NHS!

It's good and based on a true story

I’ve just got to the end of The Expanse (thanks for the recommend). Before *every* episode was a trail for this. So it may be the greatest programme ever but I hate it.

Personally I HATE the way Amazon has started putting adverts at the start of its programs. Netflix has one over it on that.

I'm glad you liked The Expanse, it really is -proper- sci-fi, and proper good as well.

I'm fed up with the gurning face of Jeremy Clarkson. This is a situation where I wouldn't mind profiled adverts that recognise I've never watched a car programme, never mind the Clarkson fluff-fest, on Amazon.

Sky sports website is worse for adverts . As if they’re not coining enough in you have to sit through a 30 second advert ...to watch a 30 second clip . Half the time you say I won’t bother .

Quite a piece of work, isn't it? Series 2 is due out on the 7th of April.

And its written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge who writes and stars in Fleabag.  Contrasting styles and stories!

Just binge watched the first series of Derry Girls, how come I missed it first time round? It’s brilliant, great to see streets where I have relatives living.
