The shower scene?

I couldn't possibly say 😍

With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Yeah we have done 3 episodes this weekend.... I've read most of the books and it is spot on....Reacher is supposed to be like he is portrayed

I think the lead is a touch too one dimensional.  His angry, sad, happy (for reacher) face was the same regardless.

Yeah maybe. The books are great holiday light relief and are never going to win the Booker.

He certainly looks the part....strange he does so whilst never working out and only eating small sandwiches

I saw a review which said Reacher was a naturally big dude so having a gym bunny didn’t quite fit.  It didn’t bother me too much tbh.

The review also said Reacher came across as arrogant, which I can see.  Reacher in the books knows he’s a double hard b’stard but wasn’t arrogant about it.

Still I enjoyed the series.  Trotted along nicely with 8 episodes being a good length.  Wasn’t rushed or padded out.

Yep, I never felt Reacher was cocky from the books but yes he sure is in the series.

3 more episodes we have left and think that will be enough

as usual watch countdown on a morning while having a cuppa before work cos i cant stand the news- the latest offering is PURE CAR CRASH TV - anne robinson with ruby wax as guest - squirmingly terrible tv and neither should be near the iconic format - contestants look like they have walked on to the wrong set - made to feel uneasy in an awkward  situation - who the hell is putting these people on tv?

I know Bono and he knows Ono and she knows Enos phone goes thus

Isn't 99% just trash with soaps, 100's of News Channels, Reality Tv etc and hardly any interesting Drama's, Funny Comedy and even decent kids shows and Cartoons.

Good show that! 👍

I was posting a link to the BBC's Johnny Whitely documentary, but remembered it was audio, not video.

Spot on! Almost no-one reads Booker nominated books.

Speaking of books I recently finished the Book of Boba Fett series on Disney.

Personally I was disappointed in the direction they took the character in as an older fan of Star Wars.

I guess the pivot towards influences from the prequels rather than the Original Trilogy makes sense from a demographic standpoint, but for me personally it comes at a cost to the overall quality of the material.

I'm going deaf and have to use subtitles for anything American. Therefore, I've upped my watching of foreign TV programmes because they have subtitles anyway. Dark Woods  (Walter Presents) has been great.

If you haven't watched them, I would highly recommend the Deutschland series, those being Deutschland 83, 86 and 89. About an East German spy. My all time favourite TV series, in any language.

The problem for me is that Americans drawl and blur individual words. Anything involving Southern US States is a challenge. Matthew McConaghy is a no-go-zone.

I'm not actually deaf because I can hear "noise" clearly. I can hear the clink when the milkman delivers the bottles  at 1am and I'm upstairs in bed. However, within any noise, there are some vowels/sounds (I can't remember which) that I don't fully pick up. My left ear is worse than my right ear.

I've got hearing aids but prefer subtitles. I only use my hearing aids when watching the telly in company or engaged in  conference calls/meetings. They were moulded to fit in my lugholes and I feel a bit claustrophobic wearing them.

They gradually work their way loose anyway so, fortunately, I can manage perfectly happily without them in normal conversation.

The experience has reinforced the value of good diction.

Do you have a separate sound bar for your TV as this can make a big difference on picking out speech on programmes.

Some of them now have special settings that enhance the clarity of speech in the overall sound mix which can’t be achieved simply by turning up the volume on normal tv speakers.

Worth doing a bit of research on the internet.

What a super Saturday of TV coming up.

Firstly, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl is on Saturday Kitchen in the morning.

Then, Hull FC vs St Helens in the afternoon.

Finally, James Acaster and his Dad are on Pointless Celebrities in the evening.

I am immensely looking forward to watching these shows. This makes me happy.
