Wolford6 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 "Celebrity" reality television has reached its nadir with Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House. The normal show is great; however many / most of the Celebrities (all well known, to be fair) are so desperate to get their face on TV that they just offer up unwanted tat that fetches minimal bids. Then they pretend to be delighted to take home less than £2000. Your everyday Dead Auntie Mary's home contents commonly fetch four or five times that. Under Scrutiny by the Right-On Thought Police

An odd one in that I found it quite jarring at first with very few likeable chara ters, but by the end they had all developed and grown on me. The story stayed on the right side of silly and was pretty satisfying right through to the end which is rare nowadays. 1

Totally agree watching at the moment and enjoying, love Scottish drama always familiar faces the 2 brothers from guilt and the trainspotting girls
Bedford Roughyed Posted June 26 Author Posted June 26 Poker Face on sSky. I enjoy, strong Columbo vibe, bit daft in places but mostly carries it off. With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

Josef K Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I watched on BBC IPlayer - Implosion : The Titanic Sub Disaster”. The fella in charge of the submarine had it held together with sellotape & blue tac, he didn’t seem overly concerned. I feel sorry for the relatives who lost loved ones. Blue Peter could’ve done a far better job of building one.
Dave T Posted June 27 Posted June 27 13 hours ago, Stirlin said: What channel please Dave. Yep, Netflix as Futtocks says, and can second the recommendation for Justwatch app! DeptQ is very sweaty and with some violence, but we'll worth a watch if you like character led detective stuff. 9 or 10 parts too so a decent length. 1
John Drake Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I'm a bit late to the party as it has been out for a while but I've just started watching series 7 of Black Mirror on Netflix. First two episodes have been very good. .

It is something I have on my watchlist list although Natasha Lyonne seems to play the same character in everything she’s in.

Oh she's definitely 110% Natasha Lyonne in this! Jeff Stein Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Enjoying the second season of Poker Face even more than the first. Much funnier and still clever. Just started Dept Q and enjoying it so far. I seem to recall there was a Danish version first, which I think I watched

The Hallucinating Goose Posted Friday at 16:41 Posted Friday at 16:41 I've been looking for something new to watch. I'm looking for something lighthearted. I've seen My Mad Fat Diary called a comedy-drama, is that worth a watch?

Lower vote-count understandable given it's a lesser-known British series, but those figures are very good, suggesting it's well worth seeing.
