Lol at you quoting the Mail though! I've said before but Man U at Leeds is the closest to the Old Firm you will get in English football. Considering it was a 2pm kickoff (as oppose to 12 or 11.30) and was the first of these in 17 years, relatively, that was no trouble. Incidentally, no reports of pepperspraying or crushing either as has happened for LUFC away at Everton and Chelsea. Apparently a few hundred fans ended up stuck in Leeds Train Station because of flooding. We had worse with Millwall, but then we had less police. TBH, I only bothered because of Neils' silly comment on the main board that coaches being unsafe is only an issue in the northwest. It was good that he was at Elland Road yesterday to watch no incidents occur. Just a shame that some, thankfully minor in the scheme of things, incidents did occur. Some involving coaches. With City slipping up and LFC winning im expecting quite a few people around were i live, will now be looking for their LFC beach towels. They’ll be getting them ready to hang out of their front-room & bedroom windows if they win the title. Their No1 fan the Victorian mill owner Jacob Rhys Mogg will be delighted At least we fill our stadium every week unlike a couple of the teams mentioned above…

We sorted that out Friday Yes my prescence there confirmed my thoughts. The Policing is a lot better in West Yorkshire, which I saw for myself yesterday. As other posters remarked, there were no Police around whatsoever when the Warrington coach was smashed. Also the way the Manchester United team bus was escorted was totally different to the lack of Police around the Man City team bus at Anfield that time it was ambushed. It may have improved now I hope but we are in times when protection is needed unfortunately. Edited February 21, 2022 by Niels

Sad day but inevitable after recent performances. Losing a 4-3 thriller against Liverpool could be laughed off but 6-0 with little fight left in the players is painful to watch. As much as we all loved Bielsa's stubborn ways when the thrills kept coming, his refusal to adapt his style when the squad is ravaged by injuries and couldn't get near the opposition has drained our support for him. He'll always be revered of course.

HawkMan
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT Keane and Neville go ballistic. Keane said: "United gave up and in a derby, in any game, it's unforgivable. "I can forgive mistakes, but not running back, not trying to tackle - there are players out there who shouldn't play for Manchester United again. "We've all lost football matches but it's the way they lost. You expect them to play with a bit of pride but that's a reflection of where the team is at the moment. "If you can't run back and put your body on the line when you're playing for Manchester United, it's shameful." He also accused midfielder Fred of "looking like he was waiting for a bus instead of going for the ball" before De Bruyne's second. Keane continued: "Who's running that dressing room? These guys seem more bothered about, 'how am I looking? How's my hair looking? Are my boots nice?'. You leave your ego at the door when you play for United." And Neville reserved his most forceful criticism for how United finished the game, labelling the final 25 minutes a "disgrace". "After the third goal went in, City had 92% possession," he said. "That's unprecedented, that's unheard of and it's unforgiveable. "The dressing room isn't broken, but it isn't far off. You find out what it's like when the going gets tough and a lot of them went missing." Edited March 6, 2022 by HawkMan

JonM
Everton's home form is OK though. A lot will depend on whether Leeds get a "new manager bounce". Burnley probably still slight favourites to go down, although I'd certainly rather have Sean Dyche as manager than Lampard.

Josef K
The Barnsley goal from Watford loanee Quina was a cracker, and it looked as if Stoke were just going through the motions, even before the goal. Then they hit back with that sucker punch 5mins into injury time from Baker, it looked as if to me the Barnsley players stood off him.
