If you don't recognise the story arc, this refers to Lutz Pfannenstiel, a German goalie who has also played in all six FIFA confederations, been clinically dead three times while playing for for Bradford Park Avenue, negotiated a contract at gunpoint in Albania and coached in countries from Armenia to Namibia to Cuba.

As you might expect, his 2014 autobiography The Unstoppable Keeper is quite the read.

@The Hallucinating Gooseknow you're new to Sky, if interested in Scottish football,  channel 964 BBC ONE SCOTLAND, tonight 10.45 Sportscene,  Scottish Premier version of MOTD, all 12 teams playing tonight, should be good show considering what's been happening lately. Regularly this show on straight after MOTD in England on  Sat or Sun night.

Also on channel 180, BBC SCOTLAND, ( different from BBC1 SCOTLAND) , Friday night is Scottish Championship live match, usually pretty entertaining.

Haha. Great song. Don't really need all the build up as that gets a bit messy. Just do the "All we need is, Claudio Braga". That sounds great. I can imagine the whole stadium singing that.

I used to like singing "Our Claus, in the middle of defence" when we had Claus Lundekvam at centre back.

The best songs are the simple ones.

Interesting conversation, I don't think winning trophies defines whether a region is a "hotbed" or not, in my opinion it has everything to do with the passion and enthusiasm of the supporters in the general population of the area.

Curaçao (pop 150 000) looking quite likely to qualify for the world cup. I'm sure they'll all be paying thousands of dollars to watch their nation in the US next year.

Fantastic scenes.

Well worth the £2.49 I paid to Amazon Prime for this game. Incredible scenes at the end , I've never heard such a noisy stadium go so quiet so quickly.

I didn't realise it was being played but saw the score at 1-1 after 20 minutes, so I googled to see where I could watch it, as you say, well worth the price.

The Scotland game last night was pretty exciting too.

Wow, I looked at the Italy v Norway score and it was 1-0 Italy after 60 minutes, it didn't matter really because Italy needed to win by about 9 goals to knock Norway off top spot, anyway, I've just looked at the final score and it finished Italy 1 Norway 4

He probably did. Compared to his stint in a Singaporean prison, even Stoke must feel like a doddle.
