WRLA - Army ladies celebrate close victory over Yorkshire

Recommended Posts

Yorkshire Ladies 10  -  The Army 12

at  Castleford Panthers ARLFC

The Army came back from 10-0 down to snatch a 12-10 victory over a well drilled Yorkshire Ladies side in a tough, physical tight affair to avenge last year’s close loss.  In a game that lay in the balance right up to the final play two evenly matched teams gave their all.

The Army finally emerged victorious, however, with two well taken tries from player of the match Amy Robinson and Kate Garside having been successful with the boot, which proved to be the vital difference between the teams.

With the series now levelled at 1 - 1, next year’s Yorkshire Ladies team face the huge task next August of taking on the Army in Aldershot.

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”  Eleanor Roosevelt
