I think that the current number of subs (only 4) is too small.  The number of subs should be doubled to 8, and substitution times should be unlimited.

I think we should have special teams and wear more padding and have an extra player allowed on for 3.7 mins per game, and the winners should then be placed in a round robin to play the RU World Cup winners the international rule winners NFL winners, football world champs and the Canadian Football league winners. the rules can be an amalgamation of all the games and could be called mob football. Thoughts?

None, they are too unreliable, the players can uphold the rules, after all its only a game, and should be played in a good spirit

I have a serious question.  I am not trolling, but seriously discussing.

Why is my suggestion of increasing the number of subs from 4 to 8 irrelevant or offensive?  When the decreasing the number of the on-pitch players from 15 to 13 by abolishing Flankers, some were offended.

The change from 15 to 13 players happened over 100 years ago. Having 8 subs and unlimited interchanges would neither be logical nor practical, it would serve no purpose and would affect the sport in a negative way. The rules of RL have been optimized for the best possible outcome, there isn't any reason to change the number of subs.

But many sports are changing... for example, Futsal increased the number of a squad from 12 to 14, Rugby Union increased the number of subs from 7 to 8, etc etc.

While RL's actual playing time is much longer than RU, that the number of subs is 1/2 of RU's is strange.

It seems that my suggestion for increasing the number of subs and unlimited substitutions is not very popular.  However I think this has a great advantage--these can change the image that Rugby (both League and Union) are sports for large people, except Union's 9 (Scrum Half).  If substitutions are unlimited, there can be a place kick specialist--who can be very short.
