If this is the evidence that the government is being presented then you can see why they genuinely believe there's a case for reducing the tax high earners pay, especially when someone earning £240,000 per year would pay less tax in France! Reda that this morning, but the stats were disappointing as they didn't really compare like with like. Saudi Arabia's figures are pretty irrelevant to the comparisons made.
