South West season starts on Sunday

The Rugby League season begins officially on Sunday with the traditional opener, the South West Nines which has, for this year at least, been renamed the Steve Prescott Foundation 9s with proceeds from the day going to the charity.

Eight teams will be competing at Redruth Rugby Club beginning at noon with the final at 5pm and presentations at 6pm with members of the Lands End to John O'Groats walk team presiding followed by a Q&A session and auction.
