Griff9of13
I'd already posted about this in the "if you're over 30 then your screwed " thread. But yes, a bit of an oxymoron alert in the thread title. "it is a well known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it." Trojan
I always thought that Davies seemed like a nasty piece of work, when I've heard him speak on local TV and radio (he's MP for Shipley) This just confirms it. Theresa May is famous for saying that the Tories were perceived as the "nasty party" and Cameron set out to change that perception. This illustrates how total his failure is. “Few thought him even a starter. There were many who thought themselves smarter. But he ended PM, CH and OM. An Earl and a Knight of the Garter.” Clement Attlee.
JohnM
Is that all you've got? Two idiot MPs and by implication, you characterise the other 290 or so? Desperation Lane, Socialism City. Here are much worse cases where people have been killed and lives ruined by the crimes, misdemeanours and stupidity of a few people but that does not taint the whole group. ...and in the last one, some actual facts.. Will you start a separate thread on each or shall? Yay for the army... Yay for the police... Yay for the NHS... Yay for teachers... Yay for the BBC.... Yay for Labour... Yay for nurses... JohnM
There are even dafter and wackier things than believing that "prisoners could be being sent copies of War and Peace containing secret codes." Did you know for example that at least 40 MPs and 15 Peers believe in this arrant nonsense? http://www.christiansontheleft.org.uk/ Still, the voters of Shipley seem to like him though, returning him with a majority of 10,000. UKIPers lite, every one of them. Democracy, eh?

JohnM
He doesn't know Time was when John M at least made a reasoned argument. These days it's just "yeah well you're ###### too so yah boo" Hi, I think you may have set your "autonomous response" mode. Might be worth turning it off. Merely pointing out that if people think the beliefs of a Conservative MP are bizarre ( which they clearly are, as I have said, and no reasoned argument required) , then the beliefs of at least 40 other MPs are even more bizarre. JohnM
"autonomous" in the sense that its not under your control, which is why you are not aware of it posting on your behalf. Bedford Roughyed
Balence is saying 'the cut to X is justified as it allows the money to be spent on Y and Z' It's not saying 'yeah but, yeah but, labour smell too' With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. According to the Ts and Cs it needs exactly the sort of balance I am bringing to it. Oh, in that case: George Osborne pledges £50m to make England football team 'best in the world' I mean, what? Giving an organisation that is dripping in quite obscene amounts of money £50m of our tax money when we are supposed to be skint?
