Phil
Whatever it is I've got it. Can honestly say I've only ever felt this bad once before. Just got out of bed to make a pot of tea and what a major undertaking that's been. Exiled Townie
At last the truth is out, there is such a thing as Man Flu, and men suffer more than women........ (I've had to put a smiley in case the lovely ladies on here start having a go at me ..... cough, cough, wheeze ) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/active/mens-health/10536083/Man-flu-the-truth-that-women-dont-want-to-hear.html Jam Eater 1.(noun. jam eeter) A Resident of Whitehaven or Workington. Trojan
I had it just before Christmas. I can honestly say I've never had flu before. I felt dreadful. I went to work after one day off and made several howlers! “Few thought him even a starter. There were many who thought themselves smarter. But he ended PM, CH and OM. longboard
It's a bit of a pet hate of mine people saying things like 'I have flu' when all they have is a bad cold or some virus. When you have influenza, you don't go to work as you are unable to do anything - it completely floors you. People now seem to use the word 'man flu' to describe actual flu. Yes. Flu is not to be sniffed at.
Phil
Yes. Flu is not to be sniffed at. Padge
I have spent several days over christmas just sleeping, barely able to get up ( I have had very little in the way of alcohol since the 22nd Dec when it started, so its not that). I already had a chest infection then I got hit with it. I was aching, running a temperature and lacking appetite. I'm still not right yet. Griff9of13
I had flu about 15 years ago. It was dreadful. I was sweating so much at night I had to sleep on towels and get up half way through the night and wring them out. Only having severe septicemia has beaten it for feeling so ill.
