Albert Goldthorpe Medal 2015: The Betting

Recommended Posts

The 2015 Super League season brings with it a raft of team and individual honours – with one of those League Express’ very own Albert Goldthorpe Medal.

The medal, which is awarded on the basis of the player who has accrued the most points from League Express reporters throughout the season, is currently in the possession of Huddersfield’s Danny Brough – who has a habit of winning it, in truth.

League Express match reporters award points on a 3, 2, 1 basis for every Super League game during the regular season – with Brough seeing off some tough competition to pick up the award in 2014.

No other player has picked up the Albert Goldthorpe Medal on more than a solitary occasion – Brough however, has won it a staggering three times.

He is arguably the champion of this particular medal, and is amongst the favourites for the betting when it comes to deciding the outright winner this time around.

In fact, Brough is the joint 9/2 favourite for the award in 2015 – sharing the top running with Catalans Dragons star Todd Carney. Beyond those two mercurial halves, another key pivot is third favourite – St Helens’ Luke Walsh (8/1).

Halves continue to dominate the field further down the pecking order too, with Michael Dobson (12/1), Albert Kelly (14/1) and Rangi Chase (16/1) other standout picks, too.

However, if you’re looking for another position for your hard-earned money to be bet on, Man of Steel Daryl Clark is available at at 16/1, with the superb Morgan Escare value at 12/1.

Following the progression of that series of photos, this year's will just have Martyn in the middle and the eventual winner just out of shot.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
