PREVIEW: Doncaster RLFC v Leeds Rhinos

Doncaster RLFC entertain Leeds Rhinos at the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday in the clubs final pre-season friendly before the start of the Kingstone Press Championship.

Paul Cooke’s side will be looking put last Sundays heavy defeat by Hunslet Hawks behind them, with a much-improved performance this Sunday against the Rhinos.

The Dons are searching for a first victory in 2015, after a narrow loss to Hull FC in the clubs first pre-season friendly, Castleford Tigers also defeated the Dons at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The likes of Mitch Clark, Alex Palmer, Tom Holt, Richard Wilkinson and Brad Foster were left out of the squad in last weekend’s defeat and could all be in line for a recall.

Kyle Kesik and Lee Waterman both picked up knocks against Hunslet and could miss out this weekend.

Challenge Cup holders Leeds Rhinos are yet to be defeated in pre-season, beating the likes of Wakefield Wildcats, Hunslet Hawks and USA Pioneers in the process.

Last weekend saw Jamie Peacock’s testimonial held at Headingley Stadium, as over 11,000 saw the Rhinos defeat Bradford Bulls 34-14.

The Rhinos have already confirmed that Zak Hardaker and Liam Sutcliffe will both be in the squad to play the Dons this weekend in what promises to be a great encounter.
