Doncaster RLFC head north to Workington Town this Sunday in the Kingstone Press Championship.

Paul Cooke’s men are looking to bounce back from a winless opening two matches in the league after defeats away at London Broncos and last weekend against local rivals Featherstone Rovers.

Derwent Park marks the return of Cooke’s first managerial game in charge of the Dons, just over a year ago, when Doncaster ran out 22-12 winners.

In the last game between the two sides at the Keepmoat Stadium back in August, a dominant display saw Doncaster defeat Town 36-10 and Cooke will be hoping for a repeat performance on Sunday.

Kyle Kesik could be in line to make his first start of the season in Cumbria, after recovering from a rib injury suffered in pre-season.

In pre-season Workington recorded wins over local rivals Whitehaven and Wigan Warriors reserves at Derwent Park.

However in their first clash in the Championship they suffered a 30-6 away defeat at the hands of Batley Bulldogs, with Brett Phillips getting their solitary try.

Last weekend their match against Dewsbury Rams was called off an hour before kick off, after the referee decided the Derwent Park pitch was unplayable.
