Justin Carney has been forced out of Castleford despite having four years to run on his contract.

The winger signed a five year deal last season but after details emerged of an alleged affair with a teammates partner, Tigers players refused to play with Carney leading to the 27-year-old being stood down.

Unwanted by the Tigers, it appears he will now link with Tim Sheens at Salford next season.

Carney & Salford seem well matched to me

Ava Seumanufagai has extended till the end of 2017 at the Tigers.

Jeff Robson is off to the NZ Warriors for 1 year. Dunno what this means: Lolohea in the centres?

Also Blake Ayshford off to the Warriors. Not sure why.

Was in a London resteraunt sat two tables away from Chris caisley

It's almost a done deal that Sam burgess will be back at South next season and the deal will make him one of the richest NRL stars

With endorsements he is looking at 1.2 million a year ( dollars) for five years

The sooner Surgess's back in RL the better.

If he'd been an actor he'd have been miscast in RYawnion

Well, all that's happening at the moment is that he's being jeered at by far, far lesser talents. So let's hope he tells them to stick it where it belongs.

Of course, it will never be reported that way in the UK media, but he can brush their lies off and get back to playing a real sport.

Melbourne Storm has today announced the keys signings of four players for the 2016 season.

The Club has signed exciting Australian schoolboys duo Scott Drinkwater and Curtis Scott, experienced front rower Mark Nicholls and Thunderbolts winger Tony Tumusa.

Young halfback Drinkwater, who has been part of the Roosters junior system, scored a hat-trick for his school Terrigal High in the Schoolboy final earlier this season, leading his team to an impressive 40-12 victory. The 18-year old possesses a number of the natural talents that make a talented halfback and will be able to learn from the best when he links up with Storm star Cooper Cronk.

Storm has also secured the signature of the promising centre Curtis Scott. The 18-year old Scott, captained Cronulla Shark’s SG Ball premiership side this season and was also named player of the tournament at the Australian Schoolboys carnival in July.

Both Drinkwater and Scott are finishing their year 12 school studies and will join Storm in November

The signing of former Canberra Raiders prop Mark Nicholls with further boost Storm’s forward pack.

25-year-old Nicholls made his debut with Canberra in 2012 and has played 20 NRL games. He will join Melbourne eager to make the starting 17, with head coach Craig Bellamy having a proven track record in turning players from other clubs into consistent first graders. Nicholls will also join fellow forward Matt White in joining Storm in 2016.

Thunderbolts winger Tony Tumusa joins Joe Stimson as Storm NYC players to be promoted to the Club’s NRL squad in 2016. Originally from Auckland, Tumusa has spent the past two seasons with Storm’s NYC team scoring 20 tries in 18 games this season. His impressive 2015 form saw him selected in the Junior Kiwis for the mid-year Test.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have extended the contract of New Zealand international Bryson Goodwin for the 2016 and 2017 seasons today, as well as confirming the signing of outside back Michael Oldfield for the 2016 season, who will return home from the Super League at the end of this season.

This must be the most underwhelming signing announcement since Wests Tigers signed Keith Lulia.

I think this is accurate:  http://www.nrl.com/2016-nrl-player-transfers/tabid/10874/newsid/88894/default.aspx

On your list those players are coming off contract end of 2016. Since most contracts start on Nov 1, those players will be tradeable/buyable once they enter the final year of their current deal in a couple of weeks.

The price was right. And besides, by the looks of it, we'll be saving money on Matthew Lodge

WARRIORS fan favourite Konrad Hurrell’s been told he is free to explore his options for 2016 - but the hulking centre insists he’s not going anywhere.

After a lacklustre season filled with inconsistent form, stints in NSW Cup and suspension, it is understood the Warriors won’t stand in the 24-year-old’s way should he seek a release.

Penrith Panthers axe coach Ivan Cleary

The Penrith Panthers have terminated the contract of NRL coach Ivan Cleary.

Following a poor season which saw the Panthers finish 11th on the NRL ladder, the club has terminated the final year of Cleary's contract, effective immediately.

"Ivan Cleary has done a tremendous job in his four years at the Panthers," club executive general manager Phil Gould said in a Panthers statement.

"He has laid the foundation for the future and we are enormously grateful for his contribution to the club.

I certainly didn't see that coming although there were some whispers on News Ltd sites. John Cartwright mentioned as possible successor.

Cleary had been repeatedly linked to a return to the Warriors toward the latter stages of the 2015 season as a replacement for Andrew McFadden.
His departure follows the loss of Penrith assistant coach Trent Barrett who is taking the reins as Manly head coach in 2016.
Former Panthers player and Gold Coast coach John Cartwright is expected to be one of the contenders to replace Barrett. Cartwright has recently relocated to Sydney from the Gold Coast.
Former Brisbane mentor Anthony Griffin and ex-Wests Tigers clipboard holder Mick Potter, both of whom were in the running for the top job at Newcastle won by Nathan Brown, loom as possibilities to take over from Cleary - as could Panthers NSW Cup coach Garth Brennan and former Manly boss Geoff Toovey.
