We were nevertheless pleased that 452 people came for that game. I'm further pleased to report that we had a 10% increase on Sunday with 496 paying spectators in the game against Rochdale. I had the opportunity to talk to lots of the fans as they left the ground and despite the loss the overwhelming response was very positive. If you get yourselves a winning team then a regular four-figure turn-out is not an unreasonable aim. Swinton could achive crowds of a couple of thousand if they played their games in Swinton in their own stadium. Also Oldham could achive a a lot higher attendance if they had a proper stadium. THE NORTH OF ENGLAND WITH A POPULATION OF NEARLY 17 MILLION PEOPLE IS THE TRUE EXPANSION AREA FOR RUGBY LEAGUE........IF IT CAN'T EXPAND HERE, WHERE CAN IT EXPAND?
