Just a side thought.

What is the benefit of playing the preliminary and 1st round on the same day? Would it not make more sense to play the preliminary on the 3rd and the full 1st round on the 17th? The 2nd round will still have to be beyond that.

What difference does it make ?

Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Nothing major.

Playing the same round on the same day (where possible) makes things look clearer on paper. Leaves less messy "Team A or B Will be at home to team C or D" when the following round is drawn.

Fixture planning for the Pennine League.

I assume the fixtures people will have a provisional set a few weeks ahead. Having cup rounds mixed means you cannot plan provisionally for more teams as you are waiting for more teams to catch up.

But as I say nothing major and it would to me at least make perfect sense to play the same round on the same day (ok when bad weather kicks in that cannot be helped).
