This one is a bit before my time but had heard about the game in local folklore long before I ever saw any footage. Some great skills and great drama - bet there was no better pantomime in the North-West that year than the Cullen-Goodway incident.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.

He used to help with training sessions down at Crosfields during that time. A nicer, more down to earth bloke you could not wish to meet. Not the biggest prop by any stretch of the imagination but boy, he was certainly one of the best ball handling props, fiercest competitors.............and bonkers! Legend.
